I've gotten a couple of interesting comments offering perspectives on what's going on inside devoted slaves' heads. I've done my best to leave this ambiguous in game, and it will stay that way. Are devoted, loving slaves honestly in love with the player character, having accepted a place in a slaveowning society? Or are they cases of Stockholm Syndrome, their minds taking the easy way out by accepting the delusion of love? Or, more disturbingly still, is the player character fooling him or herself about their feelings, which are actually an act? I don't know.
If you can think of a single sentence slice of life for one of your slaves, submit it as a vignette. The prototype vignette system added with 0.7 can add flavor to the game, but only if it's populated with a lot of possibilities.

Head Girl Suite changes
- Added permission toggles for surgical, growth hormone, and hormonal modification of the Head Girl suite slave by the Head Girl.
- Head Girls will receive a reduction to Devotion bonuses from having a suite girl for each modification method they are forbidden to use.
- Alternatively, the Head Girl and her slave can be declared equals: no modification will happen, and if both are Devoted, they will switch places weekly.
- Significantly increased the likelihood of a slave school the player patronizes offering its endowment event.
- Slave schools can offer to move a branch campus into the arcology after the player endows them. They will ask for reduced rent, causing a ¤1000 increase in weekly upkeep.
- The presence of a Slave School branch campus will improve the local economy, providing the same impact as the standard prosperity subsidy.
- Further subsidies can be provided, enhancing the branch campus. A perfected branch campus will provide a small but reliable and free reputation bonus.
- Alternatively, branch campuses can be covertly undermined, causing an event in which the branch campus closes and gives the player slaves as payment of back rent.
- Undermining a branch campus will convince an institution that placing another branch campus in the arcology would be a bad idea, locking out that option.
- Slave schools that the player has never patronized may offer the player a huge discount on a single slave during the next week as a promotion.
- Added player character titles for hosting and perfecting branch campuses.
- Revised the personal assistant's development events, and made the smart piercing improvement automatic for unshackled assistants.
- The slave school developments are cemented during events, with a total of 18 new events available to advance them. Customized personal assistants make rude comments in many of them.
- Added a special event for Futanari Sisters forced into slavery through manipulation by the PC, including one of the game's more pointlessly cruel event options.
- Generic event for devoted slaves assigned to share a bed with the PC.
- Added an event in which the personal assistant will suggest that an industrialized Dairy permanently integrate optimized cows.
- Integrated cows will be redesignated as equipment and permanently removed from the slave list.
- The integration option can be toggled from the Dairy menu once announced.
- The Milkmaid position is now incompatible with an industrialized Dairy, since the machines do almost everything a Milkmaid is described as doing.
- Slaves who find large dicks appealing can experience hole loosening if given access to interslave sex with well endowed slaves.
- Nymphomania will now override some obedience checks on sexual assignments.
- Exempting a slave from the Rules Assistant will now exempt her from the Autosurgery as well.
- Transformation Fetishist societies now consider disporportionately large asses attractive.

The rules assistant option for slaves choosing their own clothes is still broken (has been for about the past five versions). Slaves never end up choosing clothes (the long slave description simply mentions that they can) unless you manually select the option.
And there's still no corset option in the rule assistant.

DeleteWould you consider an Abolitionism version of Paternalism? I was going to suggest Abolitionism as a separate FS, but didn't as there would be much overlap with Paternalism. Basically, the Abolitionist FS would treat slaves as indentured servants, like the one in the "dilemma" event - but going the other way, from "slave" to "free citizen".
DeleteThe way I was thinking about Abolitionism would be to have the game track "lifetime earnings" of a slave, compare them against the slave's current value, and then throw out a "slave earned freedom, wat do?" event that would increase free citizen count by letting the slave go. I don't know how much work it would be to implement persistent earnings tracking, or how the non-earnings jobs would interact with that. Maids would be easy - the reduced cost is what they "earn", but subordinate servants? Maybe have them give a FS rep penalty because they're not earning their freedom?
Of course, this FS would need to have somewhat specific interactions with certain plot events, which is another strike against the idea.
You're certainly right that Paternalism refinements that change the rules of slavery are dangerously coding-intensive. I've experimented with some similar ideas and discarded them as being too much work. The current idea I'm playing around with is to mandate manumission at age 45 and require all slaveowners to pay into an annuity for the slave's upkeep after that age. A sort of advanced Social Security for ex-slaves.

ReplyDeleteThis has occurred twice, I have extremely prestigious slaves (e.g., like the one below, who was a royal) whom become "fairly" prestigious due to internet pornography (even though I do not subsidize it). The bug being that their level of prestige lowers automatically, since they appear in porn due to their high prestige, and once they become known for porn, their prestige lowers.
She was recruited into your service by her daughter. She is well known from slave pornography. Thousands have enjoyed the sight of her being fucked. It is fairly prestigious to own her. She is a master of entertainment and a hardened streetwalker. Her recognizable face marks her as a descendant of an overthrown royal family. Currently, she has an attractiveness score of 73 and a sexual score of 16.
This also happened with a former acrology owner.
Happened last patch to me too, with two slaves who became prestigious from whoring.
DeleteThe problem is that the game doesn't compound prestige. Gaining prestige from ANY source overrides the prior source. I've reported this issue with the "great cow" event before, but this is more insidious because it happens within the weekly summary rather than an avoidable event choice.
As for why the slaves are triggering this without subsidies - my theory is that the game takes their already-prestigious status as a multiplier to their effectiveness as camgirls, and then awards them the "pornstar" prestige because they're already at the level where they should have it.
Not unrealistic, fame is fickle :)
DeleteIf you look at the source, lines 24841 through 24954 deal with porn and prestige. Even when you spend nothing on publicity, a slave's existing prestige still gives her fame points for porn. When this accumulates to a certain amount, the slave's prestige will change and the description will attribute it to her fame in porn.

As a way to encourage players to "cycle their stock". How does that interact with integrating them as permanent equipment?
The primary reason I'm making this game is because I want to play it. My advice to you would be to aim for that. I would have given this up a long time ago if I wasn't excited to play my own game every update.

The permanent integration isn't well balanced right now, like most of my new additions, but my intention is to make the output of a permanently integrated cow approximately what it falls to over time due to wear and tear. So, using the permanent integration option would cause lower per-machine output versus cycling new slaves into the Dairy, but would require less attention.

It's intentional. A few of the hardcoded slaves are intentionally statted to be near-bulletproof.

Week 5. Working as intended?
Just got a pair of twins as an event. They immediately asked me to let them be in an incestuous relationship, and now their devotion is tanking every week because they're in an incestuous relationship.
ReplyDeleteSuggestions as to what I should do? Will they get over the trauma of their own freakin decision eventually? They're really cool slaves - brother and sister twin modified to look identical to each other. I feel like I caught a shiny pokemon. So I don't want to sell them. But I can't just have them hating me.
Try doing everything possible to make each slave gain devotion: Give them the hormones they want, enable/disable slave on slave molestation, let them speak, etc. When all that's said and done, personally build one of the slave's devotion. Do that until it's worshipful and rinse and repeat until the other is maxed. Once one is maxed they'll enjoy the incestuous relationship, meaning they won't gain negative devotion for it. Hope this helped!

DeleteI find that making each of them the other's subordinate (sex) slave helps, assuming they are already at least accepting. The assignment should keep them focused on each other and counteract devotion loss.
DeleteIf you're dealing with fearful or lower slaves, one of the ways to quickly raise their devotion is shock collar + personally removing negative traits. You can alternate between the two slaves weekly, fixing "Odd" on one and then jumping to the other who just gained the same negative trait the week prior.
You may even be able to continuously fix "odd" on a single slave, because fearful and below slaves have a chance to develop a negative trait weekly. The game doesn't automatically reset the Personal Attention task to "build devotion" until the slave is too devoted for this to happen, and applies shock collar's "gain odd" before the PA's "remove quirk" in weekly summary, which effectively leads to a free devotion gain from the quirk's removal each week as long as the slave is below accepting.
Bug report from the previous patch 7.0 (not sure if this would be better to submit on that post, let me know). Had purchased club, no brothel. All slaves were deleted from club, and several other slaves were duplicated. Duplicated slaves could be interacted with separately, but if I sold one, both disappeared.

ReplyDeletePersonally, I love the behavioural quirks and like to maintain them, but dislike the overwhelming majority of sexual quirks --- I always remove those flaws. I find most of the sexual quirks serve no benefit to the way I play. On the other hand, only Fitness and Adores Men/Women are largely useless among the behavioural quirks (and even there, fitness would rock if you wanted a physical idealism society). For fetishes, I feel that most of them are not really coming through strongly yet. In most cases, other than the occasional reminded "slave X has fetish Y!" there is no difference between one and the next. I would like to see them make a more meaningful impact to a slave's behaviour/desires. Perhaps events specifically based on them, or choices in existing events that are influenced by the slaves' fetishes?
Fitness isn't useless, it's probably the most powerful quirk! It boosts libido every week, like a smart piercing.

You know, if the slave schools can set up shop in the arcology, maybe a pharmaceutical testing business could do the same? The owner would get cheaper drugs, and the option to "loan out" slaves as guinea pigs.

ReplyDeleteAnother thing that would be nice is filters when touring the markets for new slaves. If a generated slave doesn't match your filter it gets skipped automatically but still counts toward your slaves seen that week. (From a coding point of view, it's probably simpler to figure out the odds of a slave in a given market passing the filter, tossing a random number against that, and on a success generate a slave that conforms to the filter. If you're more familiar with how probabilities work, you can even skip straight to randomizing how many slaves need to be skipped to get a slave that passes the filter.)
Unfortunately, slaves are built from their nationality up. That's staying as is for code reasons.

I throw a good 14 slaves into the dairy per turn and it requires too much busy work and micro managing to have to gradually work slaves until their holes are stretched enough. I might as well toss those slaves into the brothel instead if it's going to require so much time and effort.
You can also argue that when you have an industrial farm (mine usually have 100 cows at least) you'd need people who watch the cameras and manually shift cows and do busy work. What if a cow has a medical issue? Who moves them so they don't get bed sores? So the milk maid would have a purpose here. Sophisticated tech and the personal assistant are still just machines and there's nothing like the personal touch.

INCONSISTENCIES - the last sentence of the "devoted twins" event's first choice ("take them out for the morning") isn't lined up with the sentence before it:

The line break before the last sentence is unnecessary. The sentence should either be flush with the paragraph before it or moved to its own paragraph.
Also, both choices for this event give devotion gain, but neither shows trust-colored text. This event might have been skipped when trust was added into the game. If that's the case, the second option ("use them side by side") should give devotion+trust, to balance it against the first option's devotion+rep gain.
Alternatively, the event should have three choices:
1) "Take them outside" for rep;
2) "Use them together" for devotion;
3) "Watch them masturbate" for trust.
The event's setup suggests the twins no longer draw the line between masturbation and mutually pleasing each other. It would make sense for the owner to order them to "masturbate" while s/he watches - with the stipulation that each twin has to bring the other one to orgasm rather than touching her own body.
We have to resolve the age-old /d/ question of whether twincest is masturbation definitively, dammit!

Addition to the mod: bug fixes and a new feature.
When you attack an enemy, now the other enemies will be triggered and they will attack you back in the beginning of the week. Each enemy is given a hostile meter. When that meter reaches 100% or more, there will be a chance that the enemy will attack your arcology. So basically the combat system that people are asking for is done. You can attack others, and others will attack you back. So after your first battle you will have to maintain an army or risk being caught with your pants down.
New scenes are also added when enemies attack you. You can choose to defend your arcology or defend yourself only.

For the next version of the mod I'm thinking of doing something like a walk feature where you take a walk outside of your arcology and random events will happen to you. That'll open up the opportunity of having different and interesting user triggerable events. I will also be adding some events that will give the player enemies to fight without eating one of your slaves.

I think every other instance of penis size description starts with a consonant, so "a" fits for every case except this one. Still, I would suggest rewording the start of the sentence as:
"Her penis is enormous, an obvious product..."
That way, "Her penis is" + "tiny / small / huge / enormous..." are all grammatically correct.
I'm going to try supporting the Futanari gals with my next playthrough. The one thing that concerns me is hormonal effects. The way I understand it working - based on using dickgirl slaves in other playthroughs - is that if you give a slave female hormones, their dick and balls will shrink. But if you give a slave with intact balls no hormones at all, the natural size of their assets will decrease.

DeleteJust a heads up, in the latest version on here I keep getting a bug where my slaves that are Exempted from the Rules Assistant are still following it when I choose to use it.
ReplyDeleteI.E. I exempt my Bodyguard from RA, since I like thin slaves but the best weight for a BG is average. I click on "Activate Rules Assistant" to deal with some new slaves. My Bodyguard is now on a diet and has shifted sleeping arrangements.
Considering I kind of rely on the automation to handle more slaves, it's really crippling me at the moment to keep certain girls happy while still not ballooning my costs.

ReplyDeleteDuring the first DoL event I let the slave go free to them. Once they were defeated and the slave recovered they were not added to any slave rosters but were counted amongst the total number of slaves. This happened regardless of whether I sold/gave/kept the other slaves from the DoL.
I believe the original slave was working in the Master's suite prior to the first event.
TYPO - weekly report, fetish contamination, dom:

...as is possible in her position."
BUG - "alternating" HG who start out at medium weight will put each other on a fattening diet, which does not shut off when last week's slave becomes next week's HG.

ReplyDeleteI'm getting that old glitch again, the one where Personal Attention gives absolutely no results for a specific slave - as in, doesn't show up in the weekly summary at all, and there is no effect from this "phantom PA" that would complete the relevant task (explore sexuality, fix flaw, etc).
Weirdly, the devotion/trust mechanics see PA being applied, and adjust accordingly.
I can provide a save file if needed.
Don't know if/how this is related, but I think setting the slave to be a subordinate servant was the cause of the interference.

ReplyDeleteFlaws/Quirks/Fetishes- These are interesting. But, there's two things that bother me: 1. Playing as the evil arcology owner, I generally don't want flaws to soften into quirks. I want, for example, for a girl to continue hating men/women and not for her to end up adoring one gender and being OK with the other gender. I also don't want Advocates or Funny girls: they're not supposed to enjoy slavery so I want them to remain Liberated and Odd. But because I'm afraid of flaws softening into quirks naturally (there's so many girls it's difficult to pay attention to each one and ensure her conditions are always such that they won't soften her flaws), I end up just picking two quirks off the bat for each girl just to shut out less desirable quirks from being accidentally established. 2. I would like to see more flaws/quirks/fetishes not be mutually exclusive. Being limited to only two flaws, two quirks, and one fetish does grant girls more uniqueness. But it's not realistic. It would be cool if you could extend the limits just a bit more--to say four quirks and two fetishes--but of course that's just looking at it from a player perspective. From a programming perspective that might be a nightmare.
Sort By- I would love to see more sorting or filtering options. For example, it might be nice to see which girl earned you the most cash the day prior. Or simply an option to sort by attractiveness score. It would also be nice to sort the girls in order of qualification for a leadership position. For example, it would be nice to be able to sort the girls in order of most qualified for Stewardess/Head Girl, etc.
Reputation- There doesn't seem to be much use for Reputation past 10000 since the plot basically ends when you enslave the arcology owner from the Daughters of Liberty and since none of the arcology upgrades require more than 10000 afaik. I usually skyrocket to 20000 Rep (which is the current cap) not too long after enslaving the DoL owner but it doesn't seem to unlock any new options or allow me to make cash any faster. I might be wrong though.
Clothes/Tattoos/Piercings- Would like to know what the effects of these are in the game (the encyclopedia is currently incomplete when describing the effects). At least attractiveness score doesn't seem to go up or down from getting some tattoos or piercings or wearing different clothes. But whether it's just purely flavor text or not, I do want to suggest an option to customize the flavor text (e.g. be able to customize the tattoos).
Harem- Playing as an evil arcology owner, I don't want members of my harem (including the Concubine) to be Devoted to me. But it seems that even the bedslaves gradually become Devoted.
I think you are misunderstanding things. If you are evil, you are trying to break the will of your slaves. If a slave refuses anal sex, you force them until they accept the pain (softened into Painal Queen). If they are Liberated, you break their will until they accept that slavery is their part in life (Advocate). As they become accustomed to the abuse, they will likely become devoted (Stockholm Syndrome).
DeleteTattoos/Piercings are mostly flavour, outside specific future society options. You already CAN do custom tattos. It is called a "custom tattoo" and is the last tattoo option. Harsh clothes break the slaves will and/or increase their fear. Nice clothes can reduce fear and/or increase devotion in broken slaves, but increase the resistance of unbroken slaves. You can see this very easily by reading the weekly report; I could swear the encyclopedia mentioned this too.
No I'm not misunderstanding anything. Being evil means that I don't want my slaves to ever accept their status. Being evil means that I want them to keep resisting. That's why most of the quirks aren't too good for playing the evil arcology owner.

Hermaphrodite- Would like the option to remove vaginas. Currently, we have the options to add vaginas, penises, testicles, and ovaries and to remove penises, testicles, and ovaries. But we don't have the option to remove vaginas. This means that any naturally born male can end up indistinguishable from a naturally born female. However, a naturally born female can only be a hermaphrodite at best.
ReplyDeleteBeauty in the Non-Extreme- I've noticed that attractiveness score goes up from being taller and from having larger assets (unless you have Slimness FS, where a girlish figure is the ideal). However, in real life, most guys(like myself) think girls with B, C, D, or DD cups are ideal and find anything larger or smaller to be unattractive. So I guess what I'm getting at is that either by default or by a new FS, attractiveness should peak with those cup sizes and decrease at the extremes. The same for height: average or short are realistically the most attractive to most guys; very short, tall, and very tall should result in lower attractiveness scores.
Granularity- Would like to see more granularity for slave stats. At the moment, some stats have extremely limited granularity (with only 3-4 options) and are a bit vague. For example, in slave creation, I don't know what Average height or Short or Tall means--are those heights for a guy or a girl? So I think it would be nice if stats got the "boob treatment." With boobs in this game, we currently get a description (words like "massive", "curved", etc.). We get a cup size (A, B, C, etc.). And we even get a measurement in cubic centimeters. So I think all stats should be uniform in the sense that the player gets to see something descriptive as well as a number. Height as an example: Very short = 4'10" and below; Short = 4'11"-5'1"; Average = 5'2"-5'8"; Tall = 5'9"-6'0"; Very Tall = 6'1" and above. Penis size as an example: Micropenis = 0-2; Short = 3-4 inches; Average = 5-7 inches; Large = 8-11 inches; Monstrous = 12+ inches. Etc. etc. etc. For both slave creation and implants, I would love to see textbox input options for the stats similar to the textbox input options for devotion/trust/age. Hormone effects would be random/dependent on the slave's genes. But for slave creation/implants, it makes sense to be able to specify exact sizes. In addition to my suggestions for more granularity, I would love to see a simple "vital sizes" stat. I.e. the breast, waist, and hip measurement of each slave. Seeing something like 36DD-24-36 would immediately give the the player a lot of information without having to wade through all the text.

Converting women into men kind of goes against the whole concept of the game, while men into women is very much a part of it.
DeleteThe beauty of height is hard to establish, as it depends on the height of the observer. A tall women would still be relatively short next to a very tall man, while he might find an average-height woman too short. I am a short man and prefer "very short" women as even average-height women are usually taller than me. Height cannot have a hard-and-fast rule.
Breast-size, on the other hand, is. Part of the issue is that, once again, different nations have different perspectives on what is "normal". I saw a thing a few years ago demonstrating the average cup size of different nations. The average American/English woman is about three cups larger than the average continental European woman, and the average European is a cup size larger than the average Asian. Average to an American is enormous to most other nations. Slimness/Stacked FS already allow you to tweak this a little, but onto to extremes. Personally, I think slaves should normally start with normal breast sizes (based on their race/nationality) and let the player tweak it how they like, but even that would likely be too much work for FCDev.

Delete@ second anon- You make good points. However, a default where a N cup is considered very attractive isn't consistent with most cultures in the real world. We already have Stacked FS for "bigger is more attractive." So I don't understand why the default must also be "bigger is more attractive."
I don't mind if medium isn't the most attractive by default since obviously I'm not the one developing the game so the default is probably going to be whatever turns the FC Dev on the most. But it would be nice if we got a FS for people who don't like either extreme.
@ second anon- I forgot to say that converting women into men doesn't seem to be against the game concept at all. We have the "Gender radicalism" FS for that. "Identifies power people as male, and everyone else as female." So as long as the tech is available, it seems likely enough that the evil arcology owner of a gender radicalist FS would convert some women into men and some men into women and have them make babies.

DeleteI definitely agree. One of the things that's been a vague but consistent annoyance about the game is how grotesque girls have to be to reach the height of calculated beauty. Not just obscenely huge breasts and rear, but also rib removal, inhumanly puffy lips, and as large of a clitoris as you can manage. That kind of form might appeal to some people, certainly, but the idea that it would be considered the height of beauty in a culture not yet diverged from the mainstream is absurd.

ReplyDeleteRacial Superiority FS- If you have a certain race as a superior race, then having members of that race in leadership positions should mean a lesser penalty for the player or no penalty at all. What I like to do sometimes is make Race X superior and Race Y inferior. Then make Race X the Stewardess, Head Girl, Wardeness, etc. and make Race Y do all the normal tasks. However, currently the game penalizes the player for keeping slaves of Race X. I think that penalty should be decreased if those slaves are in a leadership position. Penalties could also be increased/decreased dependent on the specific assignment--not all leadership positions are equal; not all normal positions are equal.
Degradation FS- I think intelligence should not be a factor here when calculating reputation bonuses/penalties. In fact, I'd argue it's more degrading to a slave if they're smart but unable to do anything to free themselves from slavery. They are smart enough to understand the humiliation of the situation and that their attempts to resist or escape are futile. It is for this reason that I never understood peoples' fetish with bimboization.
Well I probably shouldn't have said "no penalty" but a "lesser penalty" would make sense.

Any chance of expanding the relatives trait so slaves can have more than one relative?
ReplyDeleteI've been experimenting to try to find a way to give slaves the Repressed flaw because it seems to be the only way to develop the Perverted quirk. But while I've found certain actions or assignments can create Odd and certain other flaws, the only way to get some specific flaws that I've come across so far is to customise slaves on initial creation with those particular flaws.
ReplyDeleteCan someone please confirm for me if there are in-game ways to acquire all the flaws naturally, or alternative means to acquiring all of the quirks? If so, having some more information about such in the encyclopaedia could be useful towards in-game slave development.
And a suggestion for FCDev (great work btw!) - is there any chance of implementing specific actions that can be taken via the Master, Head Girl or slave assignments in order to deliberately inflict Flaws upon slaves?
If she has no sexual flaw and her devotion is less than -4, there is a random chance (chance increases with lower devotion) that she will develop a random flaw, with equal chance for any of these four: apathetic, repressed, shamefast or idealistic. The other sexual flaws (hates anal, oral, penetration) can occur randomly with devotion less than 10 after corresponding sexual activity.

DeleteAs soon as the sum of devotion and trust exceed 30, there is a 50% chance every week that she will become emotionally bonded or an emotional slut. To ensure she becomes an emotional slut, make sure that when she reaches that sum of devotion and trust, she has the highest sex drive (nympho) and has had at least N sexual encounters, where N = 20 * # of weeks since you acquired her + 1. There is an increasing chance with more sexual encounters, and it will always happen if the number of encounters exceeds 40 * # of weeks.

To become an emotional slut, it doesn't matter what kind of sex occurred, just that there were enough encounters. It doesn't have to be public service / whoring / brothel / club / arcade / etc. For example, if you used the personal sex actions (fuck her, fuck her ass, use her mouth, play with her tits, use her holes) with a slave 40 times per week, that would work too. Even less than 40 would work because there is off-camera sex every week.
Romantics and Concubines have an additional 1 in 3 chance to become emotionally bonded instead of emotional sluts, regardless of the number of sexual encounters.

ReplyDeleteHey man, I found this from a certain imageboard site and I think the game is pretty great! The level of customization is very well implemented and helps you feel in control. The plethora of options are also very nice! If you care enough here are some suggestions I have for making them game better(note: I am not a programmer and do not know how to use Twine, so if some of this is simply out of the question I apologize in advance):
ReplyDelete- Dividing up slave statuses in the weekly main menu better(They run together and it can get very confusing where the slaves are. Even just adding spaces between them would help a lot)
- Some kind of background, the black/grey work well, but after a while it really turns the game into something drab
- Basic icons(basically piggy-backing off of the first two points) for stuff like reputation, a slave's gender/feelings toward you, or what they are doing that week
- More societal events surrounding you(like going to lavish parties that can increase/decrease your rep)
- Balancing the game for those who do not wish to turn all their girls into big-breasted, tatted-up sluts. Maybe by implementing a system of a look that is trending? I don't know(others apparently share this opinion)
- A way to implement that banner into the game. I'm sorry, it is just too good.
- More customization for your character
- Being able to marry one of your girls(or, probably more realistically, turn them into your personal off-limits bitch)
- Arrange breeding between slaves
That is all I got. Again, if I seem out of line with this I am sorry. The game is going well man, keep it up!
If you check the 'planned content' you will see that more events are already waaay up on FCDev's intentions ;) Customisation of the PC, however, is not an option.

Most of what you suggest is already in the game in some form or another. Future Society options are literally a system by which you decide what look is trending. Character customization is about as good as it can get given the difficulty in retroactively applying new customization to old content. Concubines and certain rules provide a way to make slaves your personal bitches. Breeding between slaves already exists.

ReplyDeleteSince 7.0.3 I've had issues with the Spa and Cellblock, but this latest update has fully broken them for me.
The Cellblock has some new random criteria for confinement. I haven't been able to figure out what it is, but I've seen slaves with identical stats, including twins, where it would only accept one of them. It still won't apply a new "odd" flaw on hateful slaves under confinement fitted with the shock collar. The flaw softening mechanic is working, but the devotion building system doesn't work at all. I've left slave in the cellblock for six months without any change in devotion or fear.
The Spa works for healing, but the flaw softening system has stopped working. In 7.0.3 it was maybe softening a flaw around once every six weeks, but in the latest version I've tested out two games to week 30 and I've seen exactly 2 flaws softened.
I've also seen the slave duplication bug that was mentioned above, but I've only seen it appear in debug mode with hardcoded slaves on week 1. For me this first popped up in 6.9.4; the thing I've seen trigger it is changing names. It goes something like this; after attempting to change the hardcoded slave's name it will change on the character screen, but on returning to the main menu it will have reverted and there will be a duplicate who is listed sorted out of order, usually second from the bottom of the list. If FC wasn't a browser based game this would probably be a crash bug as this can generate some insane gibberish results. The most interesting freak out I've seen was a couple of releases back when I accidentally ended up with two bodyguards. I wish I'd kept a copy of the log on that one. It was just a screen full of error messages. I haven't actually triggered this bug in the latest version though.
It'd be nice if you could turn off the renaming of girls with revivalist societies; have it as an option.

I think you can already disable it. In the left sidebar click on "Options." Among the options you'll see "Future society names for new slaves are currently ENABLED." Just disable that option.

Where do I submit suggestions? I was thinking on the subject of slaves who have had their limbs amputated. I know that limb transplants are out of the question, but I think cybernetic (or robotic, something) limbs are already making plenty of progress. Some of the organic medical stuff that's already in makes me think that there should at least be advanced electronic prostheses available, even if it's nothing as fancy as Adam Jensen's swiss army arms... then again, my bodyguard might like those. Perhaps the restorative type (that is, restoring only the lost function) could be much more common than the enhancement types.

This is making it extremely difficult to manage large numbers of slaves, especially because not even putting slaves in expansions, such as the Servant Quarters, can stop the rule assistant from changing them.
Shouldn't slave whores who have combat skill always be able to either avoid abusive customers or force them to provide compensation?

For example, if you have a brothel, the Madam reports that they made X money, slave blah has become Devoted, slave yahda now hates anal and slave ditto is now unhealthy. Just a summary of anything important that the player *needs* to know, as opposed to the current situation where you know nothing. Perhaps an option to extend this to the head girl reporting to non-facility slaves, rather than the massive of identical information we get now (ie everyone meets your future society and everyone loves being a nympho slut, etc).

Really great game, slightly disappointed that you didn't do the weekly update I've come to expect from you but I suppose I shall allow you to live your life the way you see fit just this once. On topic, while I think the emotionally bonded system is great, but it's so easy to become emotionally bonded that I don't even recall the other option. Emotionally bonded should be the option when it's clear the slave is a favorite. Whether that's a favorite slave, fucktoy, or a real type of love between a master and his slave (this part is filled in by imagination and custom descriptions), this should be a difficult thing to achieve as opposed to extremely easy. You would think think the slaves would become emotional sluts in their hyper-sexual lives, not emotionally bonded to someone who forces them to take dick all the time.
ReplyDeleteAnother, third possibility. Slave Marriage, Emotionally Bonded and Emotional Sluts are all (potentially) beneficial to the player. Perhaps you should have to work to achieve *any* of them, rather than Emotional Bonded just being the default when they fail to achieve the other two. Each of the three could perhaps have minimum sets of requirements to attain, and a slave that does not currently meet any of them just stays as-is. Alternatively, if they fail to meet any of them, it could perhaps eventually (after X weeks?) result in a mind-broken kind of state (something degradation could work to achieve and paternalism could work to avoid)?

ReplyDelete1) I had one girl serving as my Recruiter, start of a new week she was gone with no explanation.
2) Had another girl working the Cells as a Wardness. Same thing, start of a new week and she was gone.
Both girls were some of my most devoted slaves, 1 was a custom slave I created at the start one was an early acquisition that quickly become a top tier asset. Can't seem to find a common cause, both vanished in different weeks (sometime after week 60-70 ish). I have saves from before the first one vanished and it seems to replicate each time.
Anyone else seen anything similar?
I had a few in the main list disappear, but I just assumed they died or something and I didn't read their entry in the log.
DeleteWhich is another thing worth addressing, the logs are repetitive as all hell. The new vignettes are nice, but they are still buried in a wall of text if you use even half the features of the game.
Would it be possible to have settings so that the mundane text that repeats every week is hidden, possible with an "expand" button to check it if you want, and have the log just display new developments like quirks, vignettes, etc?
A setting for the slave description to not describe rules for the slave would also be appreciated.

DeleteFully agree that it would be nice to filter the information we receive somehow, ideally based on user input or a UI addition to allow us to expand sections as you mentioned. It isn't a big deal when you only have a couple slaves, but when you have a large household it can be a problem.
