ALPHA 0.8.4: Clear Vision




The subreddit is working out well. The web platform approach I'll take for this update is that the subreddit is now the preferred place to submit bug reports, feedback, and requests, but I will still read comments here. Reddit is certainly a much better platform than Blogspot for discussion, and this has already had a noticeable impact on the game. This update makes more minor content expansions prompted by player requests than usual, including eyewear, dick expansion, and a succubus outfit.

I find ballsless futa vaguely baffling. For those who are unfamiliar, these are chicks with functional dicks and no balls, and they're pretty common in futa hentai, on /d/, etc. But I've never let a lack of understanding get in the way before, and I haven't now. To address this frequently requested item, it is now possible for a slave to have internal balls, and this situation, which can occur naturally in real life and is a treatable medical condition, can be now be created using surgery. Free Cities: I might fulfill your requests, but if I do, it'll probably be horribly degrading!

This update and future updates that expand the Free City and give other arcologies rudimentary AI are likely to take some work before they become really reliable and enjoyable. It's always possible to effectively turn the system off by starting the game in a Free City with one arcology (yours).

0.8.4 Changelog

Targeted cultural influence
  • It is now possible to target a neighbor for direct cultural influence once the PC has a mature future society.
  • Direct influence will advance matching future societies and reverse opposed future societies.
  • More advanced societal adoption increases cultural throw weight.
  • Societal adoption in excess of the cap will be stored to add an additional bonus to cultural throw weight.
  • Neighbor arcologies have their own logic for their own cultural influence, and will help further friendly societies and push back opposed societies.
Social alignment
  • The game is now capable of calculating the social alignment between two arcologies' future society choices.
  • High alignment with neighbors will help the PC's arcology economy develop, while low alignment will hurt it.
  • Slaves purchased from neighbors will get major devotion, trust, and price effects from alignment.
Anonymous birth mod integration
  • Recodes birth mechanics to address bugs and support birth events.
  • Adds a birth event with outcomes that depend on slave assignment and status. 
  • To integrate this mod, added a universal rule that implements checkups for heavily pregnant slaves, guaranteeing kinder birth outcomes.
Junk expansion
  • Raised the penis size cap and made drug and rule allowances for the possibility of hyper dick growth.
  • Dicks beyond the previous cap will not be able to achieve usable erection and are mostly ornamental.
  • Hyper dicks will efficiently advance Transformation Fetishism and Asset Expansionism.
  • Balls can now be surgically moved inside a slave's body to combine function with a ballsless futa look.
  • Internal balls remain fertile, but have a low size cap, may shrink, and will reduce cum production.
  • Added a scrotum stat to support this change; they will develop naturally like areolae, nipples, and foreskins.
Eyes and eyewear
  • Statted slaves' eyes, making it possible for them to be nearsighted.
  • Nearsightedness slightly reduces effectiveness on sexual assignments and while working as a servant.
  • Nearsightedness has various minor mental effects depending on a slave's devotion and assignment.
  • Eyewear can be cosmetic only, corrective, or blurring, which induces nearsightedness in slaves with good vision.
  • Eyewear is available as contact lenses or glasses, which will take their style from the slave's clothing.
  • Provided Rules Assistant support for various goals with eyewear.
  • Nearsightedness can also be corrected or induced using surgery.
  • Added visual acuity to starting slave customization.
Balance changes
  • Reduced the efficacy of breast and butt growth drugs.
  • Slightly reduced the base milk price, and significantly reduced the impact of Pastoralist policy on milk price.
  • Various neighbor arcology development balance changes.
Other updates
  • Incorporated code optimizations contributed by Bane70.
  • Added a succubus costume.
  • New random event for PCs with attentive Head Girls and Concubines.
  • New random event involving a tired slave who is sleeping soundly in the dormitory.
  • A change of government will now give arcologies a short honeymoon period of stability and growth to reduce death spirals.
  • Provided more careers and replaced the Milkmaid age bonus with a career bonus.

    Why? Those already take forever to cause effects, especially the butt growth ones. Why nerf them further? Not everyone likes to fill their slaves with implants. You should at least buff the effect natural looking slaves with big assets have on their jobs.

    3. I got to agree with the others here. Why is a nerf necessary? If you feel that getting to a "feminine ideal" look is too easy and thus unduly favors Paternalist FS, perhaps a flattening of the curve is justified, but for those who go with Asset Expansion FS or Pastoralist FS, getting to really high numbers is hard because the growth rate slows as the breasts get bigger. If you still feel that you need to cut down the growth rate for higher number, at least consider putting another tier of growth hormones in the drug fabricator.

    6. Increased efficacy of breast & testicle growth hormones could be made a feature of pastoralist FS.
      Similarly increased efficacy of growth hormones could be made a feature for Asset Expansion FS.

      So, while the general efficacy goes below 1 for this version (taking 1 as efficacy for previous version) Asset Expansion FS gives option to increase it to 1.1 or 1.2
      On the other hand Pastoralist allows breast & testicle enhancer efficacy to go to 1.3 or 1.4, but other growth efficacy (like butt) remains same(below 1)

      This way you address balance and give more features to these FS lacking them.
      PPl having trouble growing assets in these 2 FS in previous version (like ones abve) can actually benefit from the change.

    8. Guess I'll add my two cents in here. First off nerfs are a bad way to manage things, I get the developer is trying to force people to try more alternate paths in game but really all this nerf is going to do is a. get more people to use the degradation path and b. stop playing. And next update when this nerf didn't do what he wanted we will see a major degradation nerf which will cause even more people to abandon the game. A much better plan would be to boost the less used FS choices creating other viable styles and not alienate the player base until the only people left just use the cheat mode and don't care.

    9. Good news, boobs-lovers. FC Author missed a bug in 0.8.4.3 (and probably other 0.8.4.* releases). Breast growth is intended to be cut to 80% of its previous rate, rounded down to the nearest multiple of 25. However, due to a bug, when a slave's boobs reach 5000 cc, it will actually get an extra 500 cc growth every week, allowing you to shoot for the fabled 10000 cc within ten weeks! Act now, because this counts as a bug report and FC Author will squash it in the next release. Sadly, no similar bug for butt-lovers. ;)

  3. From my understanding, because of the higher abdominal temperature, the testicles would be less effective at testosterone production. It might be interesting to have hormonal side-effects implemented, if that is indeed the case (a friend of mine does have the disease and his hormonal production is awfully subpar, but who knows whether it is coincidental or not)

  4. Actually, futa whithout balls makes sense. Just not for them to produce cum. There's this real disease(Clitoromegaly, I think) where the clit develops more than it should, sometimes reaching pseudo-phallus status (as the structure that forms the clit is the same that forms the penis in males). So, effectivelly, you would have a futa with no balls, cum or clitoris.

  6. Eye color keeps resetting to $activeSlave.eyeColor; tried multiple times giving slaves contacts to counteract this but as soon as you go to main menu and reenter slave description it switches to $activeSlave.eyeColor.

  10. Oddly, giving balls to a slave through editing, or editing anything on a slave already having balls, makes them immediately internal, without any way to undo that beyond gelding.

    Then again, it could be chalked up to "strange things happening while in Cheat Mode", so there's that.

  14. Internal balls should be infertile or close to it: the reason they hang free in human males is that the sperm generation process requires lower than body temperature.

    I'm sure the fertility wouldn't be 0, but it would be very low.

    4. Can we be able to customize their origin? This is also important for reasons.

    Birth event: the slave's name is not displayed (it says 'She' everywhere).

    Training a gelded slave: the weekly report tells me that she is a masterful slut and the assignment has defaulted to fostering devotion, but the following week I keep training her.

So, i've suggested this before, but I think that it would be really nifty if you could choose to start as the very first arcology, before everything went to shit, this way you could enjoy an "easier" play time longer before you're constantly bombarded by ion storms. It would be more difficult in that you would have to wait for slave trading to become commonplace and would have to deal with old government forces trying to take you down for slave trafficking, but the fun part would be that, if my previously mentioned month and year optional progression system were integrated, you would actually be able to see the children of your slaves become slaves themselves, or even be able to manipulate who ends up in control of new arcologies in your free city. Sort of a less involved management playthrough, you know? Like if sim city were better i guess.

    1. Variable start date is actually a very interesting idea. I think the central tradeoff would be between slave prices and weather: it would be nicer outside, but slaves would be far harder to obtain and sell.

  22. SUGGESTION - change the color of the Future Society names inside the neighboring arcologies' summary blocks. Late game with a lot of neighbors leaves a sea of white text, wading through which to find a proper target is both difficult and tiring.

    While we're at it, arcology names could use a different color text as well - maybe even two, to show which ones have renamed themselves.

  24. Anybody else getting random girls to show up form out on nowhere. Got a girl names Sana that says she has been with me for 15 weeks but she does not show up when I load a save from last week. It says I bought her from Acrology X-8 but I never did and did not see an event where I obtained her.

    1. In situations like this the holy grail is a save right before it happens that you can then send me. If you have a save where pressing End Week will make a girl show up from nowhere, that's the perfect thing for me to use to find the bug.

  25. Hi. Thanks for the update. Can you check the bug that disables the body mod rules assistant? After a new game+, it just stops working. It's an old bug from 0.8 version. The Rules Assistant works fine in the new game+, just the body mod doesn't work. Maybe it looks like a minor thing, but it's so boring have to do the body mod things slave after slave.

  27. What is going on with testicles now? If I create a slave with testicles at the start of the game(I generally roll up some twin futas to serve as Head Girl and brothel Madam) their balls are "relocated" at the end of the first week, no matter what. I've tried switching off everything on the autosurgery menu in the rules assistant, switching off the rules assistant entirely, never even switching it on, nothing prevents this relocation, and I can't find anything that causes it.

  32. Which career gives a bonus to Milkmaid? I've tried just randomizing slave careers at the beginning and have yet to see any career explicitly give a Milkmaid bonus. I would have expected farm laborer to give such a bonus, but it doesn't indicate it, just giving a generic "good at following orders" description.

  35. A few things I noticed plus suggestions:

    Merc Event:
    Just had the event where one of your mercs wants to buy a slave - clicked her linked name and checked out the woman, then returned to the event screen... and the guy had another offer in terms of how much he can pay. Its nice that I could do this a few times and got 25k more creds, but it seems to me like the code should really generate only one amount and stick with it...

    Slave Impregnation:
    - I just made my (heavily pregnant) herm Grace impregnate my newest slave girl and got this message:
    "The first necessary step is to prepare the donatrix. This is very easy, since 'Breeding Stock' Grace has an impregnation fetish. She's been deeply unhappy that there's no prospect of her ever being able to carry a child, and this is the next best thing for her. Her member springs instantly to attention at the prospect of getting another slave pregnant."
    ^^ looks like that "never being able to carry a child" is the message for dickgirls without a working womb. Grace on the other hand is a fully functional herm who is 31 weeks pregnant at this point.

    - Since all sorts of quite outrageous things are allowed in this game... why not also an option for a hermaphrodite to impregnate herself? A dildo with cum tubes should do the trick.
    - It would be awesome to see slaves react a bit more strongly and detailed if you use family members to knock them up - especially if its bonded twins in an egyptian setting.

  39. As of 8.4.4 all birth events refer to the girl as 'She' never her name / title.

    Example: Slave named Ruth gives birth and
    "She returns to her bed and strips before slipping into it. She makes herself comfortable and begins working on birthing her baby. Her child is promptly taken and she is encouraged to keep resting. She gave birth to a single baby. Childbirth has stretched out her vagina."

    I would think if it was Ruth giving birth it should be
    "Ruth returns to her bed and strips before slipping into it. Ruth makes herself comfortable and begins working on birthing her baby. Her child is promptly taken and Ruth is encouraged to keep resting. Ruth gave birth to a single baby. Childbirth has stretched out her vagina."

    1. Not all birth events but yes, most of them: it is like if a starting sentence is missing. Maybe it depends on where the slave is. The Dairy works fine:

      While getting milked, 'Mommy' Orena's water breaks, this is a regular occurence to her now so she continues enjoying her milking. She begins to push out her baby.   41. A few suggestions for improvements that i would like to see.


    In the Rule Assistant;
    More granularity for accents. Right now it’s essentially ‘Do nothing, or Remove it.’ I’d like to see an option to ‘Suppress until Light accent.’
    The Skinny Diet should be named Thin.
    I haven’t tested this in a current version, but in the past Thin Diet would force Models up and out of the weight range. Shouldn’t the entire Thin range be Models if they have the appropriate hips/shoulders?

    The Autosurgery could use some work.
    Add an option to automatically remove implants.
    The Cosmetic surgeries cover a number of things. It should be split into separate options, like the rest of the RA.
    There should be an option for adjusting Hips/Shoulders. Preferably in a specific direction, or towards a specific goal.


    In the Main View, there should be some indication of just what the RA has done, to who, if anything/anyone. I’d suggest an additional line under the clothes, so it’s easy to access quickly.


    In the Remote Surgery;

    Shoulders and Hips are inconsistent with the rest, in that all other options show the current state, while these two only show if anything has been done so far. Like the rest, it should say what size they are currently.


    Regarding Character Descriptions;

    They are currently just a large wall of impenetrable text. Actually trying to get information out of it is cumbersome. You already have coloring for some things, but there needs to be more. Not different colors, necessarily, just one that isn’t white, on every word that is a statistic.

    On an attempt of reading through it; Voice, accent, career, weight, skin tone, lips, breasts, shoulders, butt, hips, pussy, dick, balls. There might be more, but if so I couldn’t see it because of swimming vision. It’s often better to just ignore it and click right into the Surgery. Information is much more accessible there. That, however, is not an option when you buy, something most people does quite a bit.

    Is it deliberate that Head Girl careers are disabled during the creation process?

  42. Careers appropriate to a Head Girl tends to show up on older educated slaves. They are not disabled, but if you are trying to create an eighteen year old uneducated girl as your Head Slave candidate you might as well go manual. In the slave creation process, click on customize description and then replace whatever career is there with the appropriate career. Remember to include a or an as appropriate, e.g., a lawyer or a politician.

  44. Is the "Attend class" assignment not teaching basic language skill anymore?
    In 0.8.3.4, having a slave take a class, besides improving her intelligence, also helped her learn functional english, for example. Now i`m trying to teach them functional english, and i only get inteligence increase.... The slaves are "very smart" and uneducated, around 5 of them, over the course of more than a few weeks. None are learning language skills, only the default increase of intelligence. Why?

    3. I'm not sure about the school part, but do you have their speech rules set to permissive? I get slaves to learn a lang. in about 3 - 8 weeks usually without classes. Though the ones that are restricted learn it slower if at all.

    4. Also applies to changing their accents. The suppress accent rule is faster, but will eventually have them lose the accent altogether, if you don't keep an eye on them.

  46. A couple of quick suggestions: Can we get a rule like the Head Girl's for calling you sir for slave wives? Or more specifically, a rule to allow Slave Wives to address you by *gasp!* name? It just feels like something I would like to see, a natural breakdown in the formality once a slave reaches that point.

    Also, could we get some kind of ability to apply growth hormones to slaves in the Master Suite? It's a little annoying waiting to grow my new waterbed in the penthouse for a year or two before I can move them to the Suite. Being able to have girls in the suite growing there as well would be great, especially if we could get rules like in the dairy that could grow them beyond being able to leave. Ideally I'd like to pick and choose the girls undergoing this treatment in the Master Suite, rolling around with my more human proportioned Slave Wives on a moaning/ orgasiming waterbed comprised of three our four gigantic racks is exactly the kind of thing I'd do given the capabilities offered by my own archology, but now it's very difficult and time consuming to arrange.

    Getting the following error each week. Started a new game not loading an old save.

    There is 1 cow in the the Dairy. Exta is serving as your milkmaid. Her talented tongue helps her keep her girls happy. Error: <>: bad conditional expression in <> clause: Cannot read property 'career' of undefined The Dairy produced 56 liters of milk this week. These products sell for ¤552.

    From error to undefined is highlighted in red with an exclamation mark in a white triangle before the start of the error. I can continue playing without any issues but just get the same error each week on the review of the week page.

  52. 0.8.4.4: I am able to pursue more than 4 societal directions.

    I was pursuing paternalism, then my rival archologies pushed me to pursuing degradationism too.
    I could develop neither of those goals (they were not even listed in the "Future societes" page.

    Finally my archology has repelled Degradationism and I could keep developing Paternalism again. My archology was fully customized for Body Purism, Physical Idealism and Edo Revivalism: now the game allow me to pursue a fifth goal (btw, I have chosen Chattel Religionism).

    1. That has been around for a while and I think it's not a bug. Rather, cell block requires a minimum amount of fear. I don't know the threshold though.

    2. I think it requires -4 or lower devotion, but I think the trust part might be wrong, as its at -4 or greater, The slave has to trust you to be thrown in the cellblock.

Though a few ideas and concerns; their is an error text when for the milk maid in after I press the 'end week button', the random event strings and story was a good addition, you could develop a role for slaves to become pornstars under your control in someway, you could add an option to have ur charatcer to get pregnant, inlude more positions to fuck your slaves.

  56. Hm, so if you got the other arcologies active, you pretty much have to be the first one to go for a revivalist society or you're fucked? I took egyptian revivalism last and did have my arcology fully modded for it, then suddenly "future society failed", all progress for egyptian revivalism gone. And if I try to restart on the path, it is _instantly_ squashed by my neighbours, despite 10k investment into society development.

    Any help for getting under the thumb of your neighbors (except not having any)?

    You may want to consider adding a bonus for Prestigious Slaves as Recruiters. After all, they are famous enough to add to your personal reputation.

  58. You should make it so that when you choose racial subjugation you have the option to make it so that it's illegal to enslave anyone of any races besides the subjugated one! Or make it so that you can only assign non-racially subjugated slaves to certain tasks, like maybe forcing them to participate in whoring, public service or arcade duty can be made illegal.

    There should be policy choices to ban forcing non-subjugated races to participate in specific activities as slaves.

    When buying slaves from neighbouring arcologies, the ones that are subjugating a race say that the slaves are universally that race, but they aren't. I think this might be a BUG.
