ALPHA 0.4.5


This is a mechanical update that adds little in the way of scenes. It focuses on hormones; I've been unhappy with the system for some time. All slaves can now be subjected to two different intensities of male or female hormone treatments, regardless of their equipment. Ovaries are now modeled; ovaries, testicles and artificial hormones work together to establish each slave's hormonal situation. There are a very large number of possible impacts, including changes to clits, tits, asses, faces, muscles, dicks, balls, rebelliousness, and more.

Submission announcements: If you've got a unique slave you'd like to see in game, don't forget to submit her here using the easy to use in game upload system. If you'd like to see a country added, comment with the 20-50 top female names for that country, formatted like so: "Annisa", "Sarah", "Maria". If said country's population is split between major super-national ethnic groups (Caucasian/Black, for example, rather than Pashtun/Tajik), give me the breakdown.

0.4.5 Changelog:
  • Major hormone overhaul: all slaves can be given hormones, which act in concert with a slaves' natural hormonal setup to determine which of many effects appears.
  • Steroids, a new drug option to speed up muscle building. Several of the extreme effects of heavy musculature like clit growth have been moved to steroids instead.
  • Modeling of ovaries, which are not described, but can be surgically removed to impact hormone balance or as an irreversible sterilization method.
  • Made sterilization reversible so long as the slave retains her ovaries.
  • Added costs to contraceptives to encourage sterilization.
  • Slaves will usually be grateful when on curatives, since these are expensive and rare.
  • Nerfed curatives' health affects on healthy and better slaves, in compensation.
  • Micropenises are no longer useful to brothel madams and similar.
  • New nationalities: Irish, Finns, Icelanders, Greeks, Polish, Israelis, Armenians, and New Zealanders.
  • Smaller nationalities will now appear less often, though the variety is still unrealistically high to avoid players who want an Icelandic slave having to wade through 4,300 Chinese ones.
  • Tweaked incidence of phenotypes for some countries; for example, Irish lasses are likelier to have red hair and green eyes.
  • Added starting option to narrow the slave trade to the starting continent only.
  • Chastity belts should now prevent slaves with large clits from using them on other slaves.
  • Random event that can give an extremely productive milker prestige.
  • Bugfixes.

  3. Not seeing the new prestigious slaves in-game or in twine, also the nation specific phenotypes appear to only be in the XY slave generation and not the XX slave generation additionally won't this been only biologically male slaves will be affected?

  5. Trying this game for first time and I have to say, I'm honestly and thoroughly impressed with the amount of detail and work you've put into this. As far as slave management sims (or even just text-based smut games) go, your ongoing project is easily one of the best I've ever seen. That's not even mentioning your frequent updates and the backstory you have woven into this game. As for being evil, your comment about "good" paths being less worthwhile without the "bad" path resonated with me as I often do feel like I'm making a choice if the paths are properly forked.

    I personally play along as the reluctant slave owner trying to rationalize them as indentured servants or only keeping them to keep appearances as head of the acropolis...only to realize his morbid fascination with molding their bodies to his whim usually in the form of "cows" (hyper-breasted milkmaids), "calves" (thick-ass sexual experts and "entertainers" for the acropolis), and "bulls" (muscular, huge-dicked "caretakers" for the first two groups) creating a bit of a self-sufficient "family" of slaves.

    And that's the beauty in this, that's just one of many different ways to play the game. I want to thank you for taking the time to put this little pride and joy together and the best of luck to you in your coding from here onward.

  6. Haven't spent much time with the 0.4.5 yet, but I noticed a couple things worth mentioning at least.

    If you choose the play testing Cheat start, starting slaves Miss Anne and Cornelia are lovers, and are shown as such in both characters bios. However, Miss Lily is listed as Cornelia's lover as well. Even after a slave marriage between Ann and Cornelia, Lily is still listed as Cornelia's lover in Lily's description, while unmentioned in Cornelia's. Choosing to fuck Lily with her lover does pull Cornelia into it. Using Cornelia with her lover before marriage always correctly pulls Miss Anne, and the option properly changes to slave wife once married. Use with slave wife also correctly pulls Miss Anne and not Miss Lily. Small issue, as the player can fix it by banning Lily from relationships for a couple turns until she has no ties to Cornelia, after which she forms relationships without this kind of oddity.

    Slaves can still become their own friend. This pulls themselves in the Use with friend option twice, "Maya and Maya line up next to one another on the couch..." Small issue, as the player can just ban her friend rights for a couple turns and try again. Low priority I think.

    Breast reduction and clit growth on muscly XX girls is interesting. Over 20 turns on steroids, male hormones, and a body building regimen combined to be sure I could trigger all of the bodily changes, it seems girls averaged 1 instance of clit growth, two to three instances of breast reduction, with slaves starting at C to D cups never seeing breast reduction at all. Not sure if this is the intended ratio of results or not, but it seems fair and somewhat believable. Muscles maxed out about in 3 to 5 turns I think. Just put the starting females in play testing mode on all 3 and saw the results to get a grasp of the new system. If that's right, hurrah! If not, either my sample size is too small (with only 3 slaves and less than 30 turns, this is very likely), or the code's a bit off for balance. I'll expand the sample size eventually with later testing, when I have the time.

    Had to google steroids to see that Gear was, in fact, a slang term to refer to steroids. Nice touch, and I learned something. Pretty happy with that.

    Finally, the prestige gaining event, specifically the one called legendary whore. It makes it sound like the slave has way more sex from the event, but the event doesn't increase her sex acts. Odd, but a small and irrelevant nitpick in the grand scheme.

    The micropenis counting in fewer job bonuses is a real smart touch, and I enjoy the increased odds of Irish girls having red tresses. Phenotype accuracy is that extra bonus of awesome content. A small touch, but one that feels rather impressive.

    Overall seems like a great update, both in the general plan behind the new additions, and the execution of them. That's about all I have to ramble on about, until I get a good chunk of time to really dig in and test the new 0.4.5 version.

    1. Quick bug update. New file, wealthy start. Purchased twins through the event. After the use twins together scene, the sister that was born male has 'may be pregnant' added to her info. As the other twin is sterile, I'm unsure why any pregnancy content would occur. All of my slaves are either sterile or on contraceptives as it turns out. Wealthy start, cheat mode off this time around.

Got a some what large idea for a random event when you have slave working as a trainer there would be chance that somebody would hire you and/or trainer slave to train one of their slaves for a reward and that trainer slaves job would change to something that describes this job like private slave training or similar to this or you could just integrate it to slave market as a side job

  8. Noticing I can't choose to take a slave off hormones, only either go male or female, and then increase or reduce dosage. I can set hormones at the rules level to take it out and apply the rule to match that slave.

She has many rules and duties to worry about as a slave, so she's grateful that she has one less thing to worry about as she serves you. As with all surgery her health has been slightly affected."

    This was for restoring fertility in a sterile woman.

  10. Just a minor suggestion - given that pubic hair is tracked, it would be nice to have an option for permanent depilation (laser hair removal or something else). I realize that this is functionally the same as just keeping a slave waxed, but personally I would enjoy making it permanent.

  13. I've recently encountered issues with saving on mobile. I'm on an android phone, previously had no issues. However, as of 0.4.2 on, I've gotten an alert saying my browser lacks the ability to save or has them disabled. I've tried both chrome and firefox, and have now gone back and tested many older versions(back to 0.2.11), now encountering the same issue. My guess is it's probably something on my end, but any suggestions?

  14. So, I have some bone to pick the with gameplay. Namely, the amount of care you can give a single slave and how little it matter. Mostly, I'll buy a lot of fearful slave and put them in maid duty. Once it's done, I'll never look at them. I won't remember them at all and if the game trigger some event with those slaves, I couldn't care less. Same goes toward any slave I put in dedicated facilities, whoring, serving, etc.

    This is an issue, because for the arcology to grow, the player needs this. And once you put stuff away, the player just forget about them. They cease to be relevant. And that's alright. What I dislike is the amount of data trusted my way each turn when I'm trying to get some girl naturally lactating before putting them in the milker. There is just a wall of text between devoted, worshipful and rebellious slaves. And that's the main issue

    I would really be thankful if the amount of data from the >devoted be reduced. I mean, I can trust those girls. If everything is going normally I really don't need to hear about it. And why do I care? Because they are in my list. I need to raise some stats for a girl to be the best in a managing position. And I only care about that. Meanwhile, event still occurs, with buckets of shemales thrown in my way because of some war that I couldn't care less about. I need that milkmaid, not 3 rebellious future ass worshipers.

    And thus, I observed that the streamlined arrival of information is the main enemy. You know, the result screen with all the stuff happening to the girls after you get a turn? Once you get 10 or so girl, there is just too much to read. And who is Leah anyway?

    So if there were a way to group result by, let say, devotion, that would be great. Because I don't need to pay attention to some classes of slaves. I know they'll do just fine, since nothing bad can happen to them anyway. Also, is there a way to discuss this game outside of this blog and the scope of the version? A thread on a forum like hongfire?

    1. An interesting issue to have, you bring up some good points. For the time being, putting slaves outside your focus into the proper facility expansion will remove their data from the weekly update list, though events will still occur involving them. These facilities are further expandable to at least beyond 50 slaves capacity, 5k for every upgrade which adds 5 slave slots. The incurred upkeep is negligible at 500 credits. Well, negligible once you're at the point of having way too many slaves.

      That should leave only a bodyguard and headgirl to read through to get to the current project girl, fairly short text for those roles. I'm all for new ideas for functionality, but I'm also for making the current system work. Hope this helps someone a bit in the now, at least.

      The events trigger on those low priority trusted slaves as part of game balance, and to reward the player for having high quality slaves. Not seeing that changing any time soon, but I'm not the dev, so what do I know?

      I'm not sure where else there is to discuss the game, but I wouldn't be surprised by 4chan having something, for those willing to brave the shit-storms for good content. I agree that a known forum thread for general discussion would be a pretty good idea, maybe with a link to it from the blog? Worth considering.

    under SA hormone effects
    for hormones > 0, it has balls shrink down to 1, which is a bigger effect then when hormones are > 1;
    when comparing it to the dick entry it seems like it should be "elseif ($slaves[$i].balls gt 3)"
    and if following the other hormone level orders it should be moved up above butt and boobs to just below dick

    under SA long term effects
    ($slaves[$i].muscles gt 2) can still harden the face and lower breast size, is this one of the effects intended to remain, because they are both covered on the male hormone levels/steroid effects

    under Economics
    the displayed interest payment is only half of what is actually paid

    there are several bugs here, most of them involve having a "gt" in place of a "lt"

  17. It's nice to have nationalities and all, but it seems like this has opened a whole new can of worms for those of us who like to make very specific slaves. (usually mine reflect people I know or celebrities from real life)

    For instance, it appears several times as likely to find a slave from Spain than one from America on international market... when just by population alone, there should be roughly 6 Americans for every 1 Spaniard you come across. I honestly don't expect the author to balance nationalities proportional to overall population or anything else, but can we at least get the option to edit or hide nationalities? It's tossing a monkey-wrench into how I normally play, not to mention that the majority of caucasian nicknames seem to be inherently American.

    2. Thank you, I ended up doing just that on a play through tonight and it is significantly better than the int'l markets... Though I will point out that this limits me to only ever using the North America arcology to maintain a decent balance of races and the nationality problem still exists in the form of too many Canadians vs Americans.

      I suppose a workaround is better than nothing if nationalities are to remain an unavoidable part of gameplay.

To elaborate... usually I have to look at several things to find the right base on a slave; namely race, age and height since these cannot be altered without negative consequences (ending up with disproportional arms/legs or a slave without any race on the main screen and a descriptor that says she has been made to *look like* another race).

    Secondary to that, I also look at attractiveness (since it cannot be reverted), lip size (also cannot be made lower than the size when purchased) waist size (cannot be un-narrow waisted) and clit size or gelding. What used to be a somewhat tedious labor of love, taking anywhere from 15 mins to half an hour to find the right slave, is now next to impossible with the nationalities variable thrown in the mix. It just seems like a long way to go for something people could have just added in the custom descriptor.

  23. Using the Rules assistant to give slaves contraceptives causes them to be indefinitely pregnant.
    This appears to happen when applying the assistant from the main menu, the individual slave menu or when you first buy the slave. The slave goes from "Fertility: using contraceptives. Let her get pregnant" to "Fertility: weeks pregnant. Abort her pregnancy." Aborting the pregnancy leads to the normal scene.

    Letting a couple of weeks pass does not change the counter or cause it to appear. Also the pregnant status does not appear on the slave summary on the main page.

  24. One of my slaves has an invisible quirk. I'm pretty sure it's odd, but it doesn't show up in any descriptions, but I can iron out her quirks, which she shouldn't have any, and in the weekly summary thing customers are annoyed by her behavior. I remember she used to be arrogant and she was flogged for being a thief. That does normally make a slave odd, but she was arrogant as well. She also hated men. So she really had three quirks all at the same time. Just one was invisible.

    1. Ran into another bug, the event to turn a slave into a sub popped off and for some reason it thought that the slave who never was male and in fact is pregnant has a penis. Now it does think that it can't get hard anymore, but still it shouldn't think she has one at all.

    1. The starting slaves are all 'hardcoded' - there's a pool of about a hundred slaves with preset stats and names and such. You get 1 to 3 of those, based on your start difficulty, with no consideration of where your arcology is located.

      I'd actually like to see the option of NOT starting with any of those hardcoded slaves, and instead just getting some randomly-generated slaves (probably from the 'pre-owned' slave market, since the text describes them as being the former owner's slaves), which if I understand the way slaves are generated, should skew what you get to being appropriate to your starting location.

    1. I don't follow, are these the Afrikaans names or the non-Afrikaans names? For SA to work there needs to be separate name lists for the two main races.

    2. The first ten are simply the most popular names in 2014 and presumably are largely of Xhosa, Zulu, or Sotho in origin, all the names after Thandolwethu and starting at Alleta are Afrikaans. Afrikaans is spoken by the majority of whites (Afrikaners i.e. Boers and the Cape Dutch) and the mixed race population (Coloureds) and is the the dominant language in Western part of South Africa. Rather than separate out the Mixed race and Black population I simply and rather lazily combined the two and did not add a separate duplication of the Afrikaans names for whites. If you'd like a better list for Black South Africans I'd suggest compiling additional Xhosa and Zulu names (who collectively make up about 40% of the population), I'll compile a suitable list probably some time tomorrow if you'd prefer.

  27. Hi, I'm idiot who wrote the "Klara" slave on 4chan. I've had random concept to add for the lategame where you have boatloads of money. Arcology labs. Once you have a high enough reputation you can allow a group of scientists to set up shop in your arcology. Toss them a few slaves, and they can make stronger breast/ass chems, create artificial ovaries that work like new. Turn clits to cocks, turn ovaries to balls, have slaves with literal horse cocks.

    The labs would work like the brothels/promenade/etc. Where you give them a slave, and their obedience changes. However, the slaves will become mindbroken, so if you don't want to ruin your fucktoy, it's best to toss your mindbroken slaves in there instead. I don't know, it's just a random concept.

  28. Once you choose hormones for a slave there seems to be no option to take the off hormones altogether. You can only go back and forth between male and female horones.
    also, only female hormones seems to give the "increase dosage" option
