ALPHA 0.4.8


The streak of daily and near-daily updates has come to an end. I know I said that before and then proceeded to update like a fiend, but I do mean it this time.

This update adds an opportunity to enslave another arcology owner, as has been repeatedly requested. I'm not completely satisfied with the result, but I ran hard up against coding limitations for this one. The code actually uses the player's chosen XX/XY balance to take a stab at generating an arcology owner that the player will find appealing.

There is a new minor devotion bonus for health when not on curatives that only really makes sense when described in combination with the devotion effects curatives received with 0.4.7. The cumulative effect is that slaves will always get a health-related devotion improvement if they are either on curatives, or very healthy. Curatives are expensive and rare, so slaves will either be happy they're getting the good stuff, or happy they're so healthy. Understand that health 0 (yellow health) is about where the average first world person is today. At some point I'll elaborate on this, but well-treated FC slaves are often much, much healthier than we are. They get perfect nutrition, exercise, and medical care, and are not allowed to indulge in any unhealthful bad habits.

In the few days since 0.4.7 was posted it's received well over 100 comments. I've read every single one; rest assured, your suggestions have been taken into consideration, your bug reports reviewed (and hopefully addressed), and your submissions logged for inclusion. With so many great suggestions, there's simply no way I can include them all.

Ongoing submission information: If you've got a unique slave you'd like to see in game, don't forget to submit her here using the easy to use in game upload system. If you'd like to see a country added, comment with the 20-50 top female names for that country, formatted like so: "Annisa", "Sarah", "Maria". If said country's population is split between major super-national ethnic groups (Caucasian/Black, for example, rather than Pashtun/Tajik), give me the breakdown.

0.4.8 Changelog:
  • Four events depicting the aftermath of the attack on the PC's arcology by the Daughters of Liberty.
  • Four new slave schools to go with the one already in-game. Two each of the new schools specialize in XX and XY slaves, so all five will only be visible with both XX and XY slaves enabled.
  • Doubled the reputation cap and reputation description requirements to prepare for future late game content. Unlocks still happen at the same reputation numbers.
  • Starting option to hide descriptions of nationality.
  • Added small devotion gains at high health and losses at low health when not on curatives.
  • More efficient random event logic that should decrease event loading times on slower systems.
  • Mercenary upkeep is now visible on the arcology management screen.
  • Bugfixes.

  2. I don't see an obvious place to submit bugs, so: Bug report.

    If you get a nickname event, click "accept the name", then click on the slave's name, then click "Back", you'll be back at the start of the event again. If you click "accept the name" again, the slave will get two nicknames.

    Presumably you could abuse this and do it over and over to get Submission, not to mention an insanely long Dwarf Fortress-esque slave name.

    1. Haven't tested this myself, but it is likely related to the way game code interacts with browsers. In short, the game remembers what page you've left / are coming back to, but rerolls every single random aspect of the page. IIRC the current stop-gap measure is to disable navigation links to prevent obvious abuse of such situations (which is still possible via save-scumming or page refreshes anyway).

      This specific situation was probably made possible by the fact that clickable slave names were added relatively recently. Finding and resolving such backwards-compatible interactions is always a pain, so good work.

      And yes, the comments section for each specific update is where bug reports go, because this helps the dev understand which issues are still present in the latest build.

    1. DISPLAY ISSUE: "businesswoman / daughter in debt" event is missing part of the genital description for the slave.

      The mother is described as wearing a conservative business suit. Genital description is "Her conservative skirt gives no hint of what's behind it. It's reasonably tight, with pink pussylips." I'm guessing there should be a sentence about how she has a pussy before the one that starts with IT.

    2. INCONSISTENCY: hardcoded slave Joan "has a simple piercing between her pussy and the base of her dick". The problem? She's a shemale and doesn't have a pussy.

    3. BUG? The mother/daughter pair acquired from the "bossy businesswoman" event are female, sterile, and have no ovaries/womb. IIRC these two used to spawn as "SRS-converted males" in previous versions, but there they would be "implanted with female hormones". I don't know if their current setup is intended, but that's what they show up as in this version.

      The other issue I noticed is that one of the above, even when told to maintain max muscle mass, managed to hit a "clit shrinkage" event. Was clit size entirely moved to steroids, and is shrinkage being caused by no longer giving slaves steroids? Because otherwise I don't understand why a slave with zero female hormone sources would experience a change towards the "female norm".

    4. BUG? The "second wave of security hysteria" event is zeroing out existing mercs, including the merc squad from the earlier event, which means that there is no option to maintain just the small merc squad.

I'm seeing "sexual master" in the weekly summaries only for slaves with pussies, while shemales constantly receive "tough on their health" red updates when not on preventatives.

      Is this intended, because the shemale slaves' only "bottom" hole is pulling double duty?

    7. INCONSISTENCY: milk production for initially male slaves jumps up to female levels only after full SRS.

      If the in-game justification is that "male" slaves produce less due to hormonal issues, shouldn't gelding a slave bump up milk production, with the presence or absence of a penis having no effect whatsoever?

    8. BUG when custom ordering a slave. Clicking on the "normal testicles" option results in the line heading which reads "large testicles" instead.

      Can't tell which size is actually being generated because "corporate warfare" is eating all other events, custom orders apparently included.

    9. INCONSISTENCY: when new slaves are set up as "office ornament for the day" on acquisition, mute slaves (including former arco owners) still generate "female pleas" despite not being physically able to do so.

    12. BUG: the main page shows amputees wearing shoes, with no way to remove them on the slave's page due to the shoe choices not being present there (for obvious reasons). This is likely caused by the interaction with the code change mentioned on the slave submission page (the game now exempts amputees rather than zeroing out their shoe choices).

    13. INCONSISTENCY: micro-managed milking slaves can have their breasts go up to 8000 cc. Putting these slaves in the dairy afterwards will actually reduce their breast size. Is this an intentional "normalization", the way dairy drops health from [10] to [8] if the slaves put into it?

      Also, worshipful slaves with the right fetish (breast/nympho) will keep getting devotion increases while in the dairy. I currently have several with devotion values over 100 and still growing. This doesn't really matter mechanically because devotion gets reset to 30 while on the main page, but it does affect which slaves get picked for certain events like the casino.

  5. Slower updates?? But how am I going to distract myself from my boring life? :[ (Seriously though, I'm amazed you keep up the pace for that long.)

    Haven't found many bugs. I had a starting slave, "Green Grape," who was a pacific islander; her race wasn't reported on the main menu. Mostly it's just typos, the most major being that indo-aryan slaves have part of their vaginal description truncated (in the short-form description) - "her pussy is tight and appealing, [with e.g. darker asian pussy lips]" - so that it continues on to a new, capitalised sentence after 'appealing.'

    On that note, it might be worth separating "Asia" into India and East Asia for the arcology location. I also thought it would be worth adding in some correlation between virginities (so slaves will tend to be both anal/vaginal virgins, or neither). These suggestions brought to you by someone who mostly wants virgin asian slaves.

    Last thing, since I don't think this has ever been answered - is bestiality going to be a possibility later on?

    1. I am also curious about the prospect of beastiality content down the road. Gladiator pit + slave armaments is just begging for some kind of dystopian roman arena type content...     2. I also inquired about bestiality earlier in another version, but received no yes/no answer for it. I would like to hope that it would be able to be added, even if it is something that the Author himself isn't completely into. I am personally very into the idea of having the ability to have either 'consensual' or 'Forced' bestiality. For instance:

      A. Make/Train a slave into an animal slut, probably specifically for entertaining citizens....putting on literal 'Doggy Shows' and 'Horse Shows'. This would be excellent use for slaves with extremely gaped holes as well, as they would be able to take the larger animals with ease. This could also lead to you being able to purchase a personal Dog companion that also protects you along with your bodyguard.

      B. Punish slaves for disobedience or rebelliousness by sentencing them to the animal pits for a week. Mental trauma might result, but that is up to the author to decide...

  6. At what intervals are you planning to make updates? Weekly? Monthly? A couple of times a year? I'm not pressuring you or something. But it's become a ritual to check this blog every morning(my time) and I want to adjust my ritual. :)

    Thank you for the hard work, it's really appreciated. Even if you never update the game ever again it's still one of the best of the genre.

  7. I've mainly played 0.4.4, so all of this is based on that version.

    Suggestions/ideas:
    Fully upgrading your arcology and buying all the extras took less that 80 turns after starting on medium difficulty. This is an alpha though, so a lack of late-game content is expected.

    There are no long-term, difficult goals for individual slaves, as far as I know. Building your empire is all well and good, but working on a single slave should be fun too. Right now (0.4.4), all you have to do is change some options in the slave menu, and you'll pretty much have what you want after waiting a few weeks.
    Want her extremely large breasted and lactating? Press a few buttons and wait.
    Want her to have a huge dick? Press a few buttons and wait.
    Want an expert prostitute worshipful nympho? Dump her in the brothel and wait.

    A way to buy male slaves even if you've set them to almost never appear would be nice. I'm not really into that sort of thing, but I still want the option. I know there are some rare events where you can get one, but an option in one of the basic slave markets to look at one would be appreciated. Either that or a way to change the "no men" restriction during gameplay.

    The option, when you enslave a normal male in an event, to have the machine not touch him. Basically, he'd still have a male-ish face, a flat chest, and so on. I'd rather do that stuff manually.
    Would doing it manually give the same results as having the machine do it during the event, mechanically speaking?

    This would probably require an unholy amount of boring work for a feature that few people care about, but I'd like a way to know what types of training and other interaction would take a slaves virginity.
    I had one that I intended to keep a virgin, figured "Oh, train devotion? That sounds good. 'You strap her to a chair in your office and let strangers...' Goddammit.".

    In a similar vein, more chastity equipment would be nice. A belt that also prevent anal sex, a chastity bra that prevents titjobs and other breast interaction, and maybe some sort of "gag" that prevents oral sex but not speech.

    I support the idea of allowing you to start the game with normal slaves, rather than the freakjobs that /d/ came up with. Creating horrific abominations is my job, not the previous owners.

    Bug reports:
    I somehow managed to get one of my slaves to fight herself in the pit. Everything proceeded as normal, with her beating herself and the audience liking it.

    The following ones, I'm not sure about. Could be me misremembering:
    Are you supposed to be able to get male slaves who have both penises and vaginas at the same time? I think I did.

    Does the chastity belt properly prevent masturbation?

    1. "It's not the destination, it's the journey" I've always kind of felt that this applied to FC. Yes, you can craft a slave to your liking mostly in the span of a few weeks, or you could do it in increments and enjoy the ride. No question more late game content is desirable, but lets be honest here, you probably missed a good deal anyway... did you unlock every surgery option? fill out every arcology expansion? obtain prestige slaves? Reviewing a game 4 versions out of date probably doesn't help much either.

      There are 3 settings for the appearance of Shemale slaves. 'Almost Never' as you would expect, means almost never. The default 'occasional' is probably what you actually want to use if this is how you feel, because like 80% - 85% of the slaves you come across on the market are female.

      Hermaphrodites (slaves w/both Male & Female genitalia) are an intended part of the game and a pretty rare, outside of one or two you can get during events and I think a couple of starting slaves.

      I don't care much for some of the starting slaves either, but you can always refresh the starting slave screen to get a different batch, or sell the ones you aren't interested in keeping and use the cash to grab ones you do want to work with off the market.

      The game is only a few months old at this point and it's really advanced by leaps and bounds in that time. Give it some time, as you say, it's still very much an alpha.

      I got everything that was visible in the arcology screen (including the reputation devices and all the upgrades for them) and about 3 prestige slaves.

      Tried that on my second save. Still seemed far too common.

      I usually do. I still think starting with "vanilla" slaves would be good for first-time players. If the first slave you ever own is a mute quadruple amputee, you've pretty much seen some of the worst the game has to offer before you've even played your first week. I think it should build up to things like that at the players pace.

    3. I kind of look at it as I'm only hand-crafting slaves as a means to entrench my powerbase/arcology. I want the best slaves possible in order to earn me money/reputation, but the slaves themselves are just property. So once I have a whore 'perfected' she gets to live out the rest of her life in my brothel - she gets to enjoy the constant sex (and training will have ensured she does enjoy it) and I get a return on investment in perpetuity.

      Hell, even after her fortieth birthday she'll continue being profitable for me, just as a nameless milk producer, where her degrading appearance won't matter.

      ... Sometimes it worries me how much of the evil asshole this game draws out of me.

    I have the following on my Arcology Management screen:

    Special Upgrades
    Your arcology has no special upgrades A full platoon of mercenaries is permanently quartered in your arcology. They are grim men and women, heavily armed and armored. Their upkeep is costing ¤0 weekly.

    It's Week 4; there haven't been any merc events yet. So I would assume there shouldn't be any mention of the mercs yet, even if their upkeep is 0?

    1. Is the slave naked? Because I think that option is supposed to indicate the slave is choosing *wear nothing* as her own choice, rather than having that clothing option be chosen by you.

    2. In the previous version choosing "choosing her own clothes" highlighted one of the outfits in the choice menu and returned the corresponding description in the slave description. Now it highlights "choosing her own clothes" and the clothing description in the slave description is "she's wearing choosing her own clothes".

      This looks like the kind of thing that happens when you fail to close a parenthesis so the game doesn't understand it's working with a string variable instead of text.

  13. I have a suggestion of a feature.

    I’m not sure of what to call it, so I’ll go with Labels for now. This is something you would apply to individual slaves. The way I imagine them now, there would be one for all the positions a slave can have (whore, servant, cow…), though the special ones (madam, milkmaid…) could be excluded.

    Firstly, this would allow for much easier planning. I tend to buy many when the price is low, and then forget what I intended for them by the time they hit Obedient. This way, you could label a slave when you got it (possibly at the acquisition screen, even), and never have to ask yourself what you intended with it.

    Secondly, this would also be a way to apply different Ruler Assistant settings to slaves. You would have a Generic template, one Whore, and one Cow. The Generic is applied first, then the one for the label. For two whores and one cow, it would as an example forbid masturbation, and set the clothes for the whores, and just set the collar of the cow. Just with one click.

    The way I would use it is this; I buy slaves in bulk when the price is low, for purposes already decided. I would apply a label for the purpose immediately after purchase. Default Generic Rule applies while they are Fearful or lower. Once Obedient, the different Rules set for different labels would apply, only where they are set to differ from Generic. The label would be visible from the Main view, so I would never need to guess what the purpose of a slave would be.

    This feature could also be expanded later on. There are many things it could do.

    1. I mentioned having a 'labeling' system in the reports and suggestions for the previous build of the game. While i agree that what you suggest would be ideal (At least as far as just marking them for their future), for the time being you could use 'Custom Descriptors'.

      This was suggested to me. It's only visible on the actual slave's detail's screen, but it's better than nothing until something else comes along.

      At the very least, I would like the option of having a custom descriptor that shows up on the main page.

Actually, I just took about a half hour of fucking about with the code in Twine and I was able to easily add a whole new custom 'Label' that can be changed from the 'Custom Descriptors' page and shows up at the end of slave descriptions on the main page. So something like this isn't very difficult. No more so than tracking normal attributes and custom descriptions.

  16. Cant we get a way like we did in 0.4.6 of transforming female slaves into herm ones (preferably through non surgery)?

    I know there other ways to get herms (making males into them), but no way of getting fertile ones outside of the hunting event and rarely by buying them.

    It's just a shame to have so many encompassing fetishes but none which includes fertile herm creation.
    I've been playing the 0.4.6 version because of this, kinda sad really.

    1. Sadly, that's a bug, not a feature. Dev has stated multiple times that he considers growing dicks on females to be unrealistic given the potential medical developments during the game's timeframe. Fertile post-SRS MtFs fall into the same category.

      Each time this comes up, multiple people disagree with the dev's choices. The detractors have both pointed out cases where technological advances have been made towards a particularly desired option and that some of the game's assumed innovations are a bit further from reality than the rest, but the dev stands firm.

      No matter how much that saddens us, it's his game and his prerogative.

    2. Still a shame to limit such a popular option. I think extreme stuff like amputees and other mutilations are much, much less popular and is still fully supported (and was at a very early stage too).

      And I think the "realism" portion gets thrown out a bit when you get men growing large boobs and balls through hormones :P

      It only really serves to limit the choices in such occasions: who would you choose? A muscular female that you can create? A plush older female which you can also create? Or a fertile hermaphrodite which you cannot create or buy?

      Unless you are turned off by them, you will pretty much always choose that one.

      I like having options in a game and having such a glaring one barred really irks me. But, in the end, it's always the creator's choice, even if we dont agree with it

    4. The word "fertile" isn't used in the same sense in that event as elsewhere. I believe it is there as a general description of the herm's overall appearance - big ass, tits, and a working dick - rather than to indicate a womb capable of reproduction. If you choose to tag that slave, you'll notice she is identical to the other "herms" in the game - the penis is "original" equipment, and the pussy is the surgically added part.

      This genital configuration is also something the dev has discussed with the players multiple times. His argument is that medical science is currently capable of creating better female artificial genitals than male ones, in part because it's easier to "dig a hole" than graft "external" flesh. When players asked about the feasibility of vaginal transplants to facilitate fertile wombs in herms, dev responded that these are not likely to be perfected soon, at least not enough to allow transplantation into originally male hosts.

      And while, as players have pointed out, it's technically possible to implant an embryo into a male host and extract it through a c-section "birth", that doesn't exactly equate the procedure with the "natural" fertility of a female, requiring intervention at multiple steps in the process. Even if the dev wanted to include this option in the game, it's not something that can simply be simulated by plugging into the existing game systems (which, say, flagging an XY slave as "fertile female" would do). As this would require specialized code, at best it would be on the back-burner among the many other updates the dev is interested in; at worst, it would never make it into the game.

  17. I thought Worshipful slaves weren't supposed to lose devotion? I stuck 6 worshipful girls in the promenade, and after a few weeks, when I go to add a couple more I find that 4 of them have dropped down to devoted. Bug or intentional?

    3. Look into the "summary options" link on the main page. If you set Devotion display to "abbreviated", you will see the actual numeric values for the slaves' current devotion score.

    4. The devotion normalization in facilities overrides the 'no devotion loss if Worshipful' feature.

      Basically if you have a Worshipful slave in the main household/main slave listing, they won't ever lose devotion, but if you put them into the brothel/promenade/dairy/servant quarters, they will drop towards that standard devotion level for that facility.

    1. IIRC, the dev stated something along the lines of a female arcology owner being unlikely to the point of impossibility within the fiction. The discussion at the time was related to player character customization, but I imagine it applies here as well.

    2. That's because the setting has dominant = male, submissive = female. It has nothing to do with your genetic makeup. Women in positions of power are treated as male culturally. There are female arcology owners, they show up in the prestigious slave market and a few other places (An event with a bitchy slave, iirc has a powerful woman in it).
      But yes, I too would like to see XX owners without having to completely remove dicks from my game.

  19. I would like to put in my suggestion once again (Just to keep it to the top of the list) for alternative actions and jobs for Shemale/Herm slaves, especially ones that are 'full package' and not 'infertile'.

    I would like to be able to specifically 'Milk' shemale slaves all the time, by way of cock-milking. Hooking them up to machines to stimulate their cocks and force-milk them. Rebellious slaves could be broken in this fashion, and others could actually enjoy it.

    This would give some benefit to pumping them full of male hormones and penis enhancement, since aside from training slaves, right now there is no purpose for that that I can see.     1. The cock-milking suggestion has been made multiple times. Each time the dev responded to it with "I'd put this into the game, but I don't see how to introduce it into the game world's economic model as a viable option."

      Personally, I agree with you that cock milking would be a great addition to the game, but the dev wants an in-world justification for why someone would devote resources to it. Milk can be used as food, so it makes sense to have slave cows. Sperm is less plentiful, but there's also much less use and demand for it. There's artificial insemination, yes, but why would the (majorly male) masters need others' sperm for knocking up their slaves? Why would there be a need for artificial extraction when the vast majority of slaves (outside of picking the XY starting option) are female to begin with? Even with an XY start and the most plausible scenario - a decadent (female?) arcology owner indulging in a cum-bath - why would anyone buy cum instead of simply purchasing a couple of slaves who will generate cum constantly?

      So we're left with a fetish that isn't economically viable, even in the dev's decadent world of Free Cities. Unless we somehow manage to find a financially feasible justification for male milking and convince the dev it makes sense for his world, it sadly isn't going to get implemented into the game.

      I suppose what you put does make sense. I can see why the Dev would be hesitant to put it in after all, since there is not much practical use for it as it stands. I understand that it is primarily a fetish that people bend real rules to fit into.

      However, if the dev is so inclined, and doesn't find it too much of a stretch of the imagination, I do have a suggestion for making it somewhat make sense. Perhaps this is cliché...we will see...

      Have it for use in the beauty industry. Cum/Semen based drugs could be implemented as another option on the drug screen, as a method for enhancing the beauty of slaves (Could be expensive if you aren't milking your own slaves). An alternative to extensive surgery that damages the health, there could be drug regimes that rely heavily on the use of semen to enhance skin and beauty. This could be especially useful for when you have unattractively faced slaves, or slaves that were previously men.

      It could be made so that this option is only available with the advanced drug lab purchase, OR only if you are actively milking some Shemale slaves (As in, owners have to produce their own supply for it to be viable for use with their slaves). It could also be sold to slave schools, who want to put their charges on Cum-based beauty treatment, or as a way to train 'Cum-Slut' slaves..

      These are all thoughts. I welcome other's input into the suggestion as well.

    4. Now this is a viable suggestion, in my opinion - adding "Cum" to one of the drug options in order to turn slaves into cumsluts. It might fit quite well into the "dietary plan" section, as in "make sure the slave takes all of her meals with cum, in order to habituate her to the taste." This is the kind of thing that deserves to be in the game on its own, and precisely what would motivate someone to milk "male" slaves and produce "dietary supplements" that can be sold on the open market.

      And while I'd love to see a non-paid version of this, as in having the slave consume her master's cum directly from the source with each meal, this "indirect/surrogate" cum consumption will probably be safer in the cases of the more rebellious slaves.

    5. In my initial post I was actually thinking of it in use as part of topical ointments and such. But I also really like your idea of using it as a partially food-based additive and or required meal component. The more obedient the slave, the more willing they are to do this as well.

    1. I don't think that scripted event accounts for any of the slave's qualities. Regardless of their current devotion value or their origin, all slaves respond to the master's questions identically.

      I agree that it's a bit inconsistent, but I don't know how much effort it would take to a) ensure the event only picks slaves of particular devotion status, going for worshipful if there's no one lower, and/or b) rewrite the event to account for a variety of responses depending on the slave's status.

      Personally, I'd love to see something along the lines of:

      (Worshipful) "She is he hesitant to respond. You grant her permission to speak freely. Though she professes her desire to stay at your side, you can tell that she's considering the possibility of freedom - perhaps for the first time in a very long while."

      (Devoted / Obedient) "She is he hesitant to respond. You grant her permission to speak freely. It is only then she admits that, despite her [devotion state], she still wishes to be free."

      (Fearful) "She is he hesitant to respond. You grant her permission to speak freely. Fearfully, she blurts out that yes, she would love to have her freedom back."

      (Rebellious) "She is he hesitant to respond. You grant her permission to speak freely. Expecting a trick, she stays silent for a moment, before raising her head and responding that yes, she would love to have her freedom back."

While it correctly just takes the first number out, the way it's presented gives the impressions that the 3000 (Mercenaries only in this case) is in addition to, not part of, the upkeep. Either split it so the first number doesn't include the facilities costs, or change the phrasing to be something like "Of this, your facilities' overhead costs are..."

    Suggestion for later game content: You and your mercs carry out slaver raids. Creating cassus belli could be part of the prep, with more sophisticated targets giving higher risk/reward. Possibly (permanent?) reputation damage if caught in a high stakes raid?

    Post corporate warfare, 6-8 unhealthy, angry slaves for 40k ish isn't game breaking, nor 2-3 good slaves, nor one medium-high profile (a local activist/journalist/chieftain whatever). You could lose rep for fucking it up or underfunding, and gain rep/cash for successful raids; after all, everyone who's anyone *knows* you did it - it's that you did it and got away with it that builds your rep.

    Could even segue back into another rival, if you hit their business interests as a high profile target? Maybe they could hit *you*.

  35. Hey just wanted to say that I am a big fan of this game. Really enjoy it, especially the new threat of warfare/raids. I have a few suggestions/requests, but as someone who has no idea how the game is made, I understand some of these are not feasible/impossible.

    1. A new difficulty in between hard and harder. I find the hardest difficulty really difficult, especially once we need to station troops and guard against the Daughters, but the default difficult to be a bit too easy. If it is possible, a difficulty in between the default and the hardest setting would be great (not sure how feasible it is though).

    2. I just want to echo everyone mentioning devotion taking into account for the slave looking for freedom. It would make more sense for rebellious slaves to try to escape. If you want it to be a shock/betrayal for a worshipful/devoted slave to try to escape, maybe some sort of further reflection of that? It would also be cool if we could punish the slave by muting them.

    3. When a slave tries to run, I am always mixed on what to do. I think amputation is too harsh, but flogging or muting seems unlikely to prevent them from trying again. Giving the option to clip their tendons would be great, I think. It would be hard for them to run away while crawling.

    4. I would love it to be possible to have the option to take a genetically engineered slave that is female, rather than only hermaphroditic (just my personal preference). Not saying that we even have to always get a female, but to have the chance would be greatly appreciated.

    4. Maybe we could get a bit of money for each child your slaves produce? It seems to me new slave children would be worth something. Obviously the game doesn't go long enough to enslave those children, or keep the kids as your heirs, so maybe a couple thousand for children bred, maybe based on the traits/appearance of the mother could help defer the costs of how much less a breeder makes than a whore.

    5. A couple people above mention bestiality, and I agree this would be a cool idea. Punish slaves by making them fuck animals. Or at least give the opportunity to have animal tail buttplugs. With certain slaves, like the Daughters or the former arc owner, I think it would be great to clip their tendons so they have to crawl everywhere, with a tail buttplug and ears, or something.

    6. Maybe a new punishment option of putting a slave into pillories to be used by anyone that wants, sort of a mix between glory hole (in terms of effect on slave) and public servant (in terms of how it makes people happy?). I have to say the whole public use pillory thing is something that always resonates with me.

    7. Would it be possible for servants to have a positive impact on the health/genital wear on slaves? Or have a new job devoted to that? When you take care of a slave it mentions you helping the slave tighten her pussy or ass, would it be possible to devote a slave to do something like that?

    8. I think more interaction with your arc residents would be really interesting, both on a gameplay and world building level. I love the ones where you are interacting with your residents, but most of those are enslaving them. Maybe we could have the option to auction off a slave for a week to our wealthiest residents? Or when we something bad happens to our renown, a group of our residents could come to complain/make demands or something.

    9. Could it be made that the fights in the pit still happen when there are random events that occur?

    10. Would it be possible to devote slaves to take care of our mercs, similar to how slave servants reduce the upkeep of slaves, to reduce the upkeep of mercs? Or something of the like. I really like the idea of mercs asking to buy slaves for themselves, I would love to see the slaves and mercs interact more.

    Anyway. I am sure you are inundated with suggestions, and I am sure you are tired of them and have ideas of our own. Just wanted to throw out some ideas rattling around my head. Enjoy the well deserved slow down, and thanks again!

I also really like your suggestion of having animal 'themed' clothing options. It would be all the better if you put a tail buttplug in and then force them to become a true bitch. I also mentioned being able to purchase a personal dog pet to use on your slaves and also as a guard dog to protect you.

      Also #6, the public pillory would be awesome. Though it also makes me think of an alternate version of this whole game that is set in a medieval fantasy world.

    1:A storage facility for slaves Cryo-freezing or just keeping them sedated and packed away. I like to keep as many of the event slaves as I can, but that tends to lead to the main screen being obnoxiously cluttered with non-obedient slaves. Be something like, minimal 'maintenance' fees for power and such and possibly drawbacks consisting of loss of weight/musculature

    2:When capturing the refugees and you pick the sick/wounded, maybe make it so the nurse the mercs get reduces their upkeep a bit? Or just let us have the choice to keep the nurse, always disappointed to just 'give' her away ;)

    And someone mentioned earlier having a subordinate slave that improves/maintains health, fully support this. Bath/sexy nurse slaves~


    Oh also, minor bug-like things: Got my hermaphrodite lab-slave, restored her fertility and had her impregnate herself (would the incest or cloning?) got the normal sex scene instead of some sort of masturbation/insemination like I expected o_O

    1. Playing debug I went greedy and took 10 rivals for slaves and could have done more. I don't recommend that, because it turned out to be repetitive and less motivating to break them. Needs well past 3 millions to go on taking those poor things 'forever', so for such poor player like me it should not occur in hard or normal mode at all.
      Brilliant game. Bug or even two are ok - especially if someone tells me how to profit from them. :)

  44. Hi. I have a suggestion that would improve the interface of the rules assistant tool.

    currently the rules only apply across the board. you select from the options and apply them from the menu. if you wanted to apply them to specific individuals you have to do it manually.
    my suggestion is that you extend that functionality by adding several versions of the rules assistant options. so you have:

    Your House Slaves Summary Options | Rules Assistant Options | Activate Rules Assistant: #1 #2 #3 #4 |

    where #x is the template you preset in the rules assistant options. it will help with managing many individuals. ex: you can have a template for cow girls assigned to #1, bimbos assigned to #2, and so on.

  45. Here's an idea for a new game+ that would make late game content more interesting and give you something to do with all your hoarded archology credits.

    What if after reaching a certain amount of time, money and renown your now bored, jaded, decedent, character could have the option of purchasing (or maybe having their mercenaries steal) an experimental (potential bleeding edge tech) cryo or stasis bed. Then freeze themselves maybe twenty or even thirty years while having your headgirl or another reasonably loyal slave (or maybe just a trust fund) manage your assets in the interim.

    This option should also probably have a decent chance (probably 70% to 80%) of ending in a game over in a variety of ways (would at least make save scumming interesting) e.g. cyro chamber simply malfunctions/doesn't works killing you, you are unfrozen only to find you're up for auction after your finances took a turn for the worse while under, a nuclear war occurs while you are frozen, you are unfrozen only to find your slave managing your finances has somehow managed to betray and enslave you, you are unfrozen only to find that conditions have deteriorated to post-apocalyptic conditions (might be a good alternate start for your wasteland game when you get around to it), you are simply never unfrozen, etc.

    Assuming you don't game over you could start with lower but still reasonably high renown due to surviving stasis, however much money depending how your finances went, on a harder difficulty assuming the world got worse. Slaves (who don't end up getting sold off) could all be aged up with lower devotion, with slaves in their thirties or forties either being sold off, humanely euthanized, or perhaps "preserved" depending on if you’re willing to shell out the addition money to keep them in good condition with medical advances into their fifties and sixties (or maybe just freeze them as well). Slave offspring could also be purchased back from the slave schools allowing for more incest options and other interesting options.

    2) I'd like to be able to have more control over which slaves hook up with which, aside from having to break up relationships between specific slaves by having them fight in the slave pit.
    3) I'd like to see an expanded slave pit and pit fighting options.
    4) I'd like having a higher percentage of trained fighter slaves to matter.
    5) I'd like to have slaves assigned to train other slaves have more of an effect on the trainees — I don't think they have any effect now, though I might have missed it. That way it would cut down on the sort of rote routine of ironing out quirks week after week after week.
    6) I'd like to fund more raids and capture more slaves outside the arcology.
    7) Love to see breath play/choking/axphyxia added as methods of control
    8) Love to see further effects added based on event-slave use, e.g. bonus to reputation for having Daughters of Liberty serve public.
    9) Would love to see standard Demeaning Inscriptions for event slaves.

  49. Would like to see a means to maintain breast/dick/clit/etc at current size for slaves other than micromanaging hormones etc.
    Maybe a later game facility or a dedicated slave job to maintain their hormone levels in a way that keeps their assets how they are.
    Only really an issue for slaves that build muscle or are shemale/futa but I'd still like to see that feature.
    Another thing would be to set exemptions for slaves from having their quirks fixed, so the head girl can continue to fix the ones with sexual problems while ignoring the bitchy or arrogant ones for variety.

    Anyway these are just small things. Great game and keep up the good work.

  50. It’s time for another exciting episode of ‘a huge post where I dump a bunch of ideas I’ve thought up at some point in the last few weeks.’ Mostly I’m focusing on possibilities for humiliation here – more ‘vanilla’ d/s sexy stuff is already pretty well-established, I think.

    One easy change would be to add a new quirk, ‘modest.’ Modest slaves would hate revealing clothes, sexual jobs, buttplugs, artificially huge T&A, and so on. That quirk would immediately pump up the impression of humiliation, even if it had no effect on the scenes. (While we’re at it, I agree with others that there should be a dominatrix-type quirk, like ‘assertive’ – there’s some overlap with ‘arrogant,’ but I think it’s worth having both.)

    That’s another quirk where it’d be nice to be able to set it as acceptable, so it won’t be ‘fixed’ by anyone. If it could be set as OK for both single slaves or as a general policy, that’d be ideal. Acceptable quirks would be re-labelled in yellow. (Again, while we’re at it, it’d be nice to be able to set certain thinnesses as acceptable.)

    Allowing us to force certain slaves to be cheap whores would be good – it would require setting prices for a specific slave, with the number of customers being inversely proportional to the price. The ability to advertise them would be good, too; probably just by setting $X to be devoted to an advertising budget. It’d give a percentage bonus to brothel income, plus occasional flavour text about your ads being shown, slaves seeing themselves advertised, etc.

    Something I’d really love would be public harassment – slaves being groped and abused while they were doing their jobs. Given that they’re your property, you’d probably have an event where a slave asks you to deal with the harassment, followed by you publically forbidding it/allowing it/only allowing it for slaves wearing a certain accessory. Just seeing their reactions to it in the end-of-week report would be really nice.

    Considering that most of the humiliating stuff rapidly causes mindbreaking, that needs to be toned down – as long as there’s some good stuff going on in her life, she should remain sane, albeit maybe sullen/depressed. Pushing her beyond that for at least several turns would cause mindbreak. (Incidentally, important events like mindbreaking should be mentioned at the top of the end-of-week log, under brothel income etc.)

    I wasn’t sure exactly how to implement bestiality in a reasonable way (assuming you’re even willing to add it in), but I think we could have ‘punishment’ activities parallel to the ‘job’ activities – so solitary confinement, bestiality, being tied up for public use, etc might be put in there. Perhaps have slaves engage in both job/punishment each week, if assigned, although the end-of-week reports can already get pretty frigging long as it is.

    This is basically just my kink, but having the option (when starting a game) to ramp up the racism would be so good. Given that it’d mostly show up as slight changes to existing scenes, it might not be worth the effort, but I figured I’d mention it anyway.

    And a few other assorted ideas: having a bar would enable a different type of work which isn’t overtly sexual but still has the potential for groping etc. I do want a non-sexual building like that, just because it’s silly for there to be no possible business which isn’t about whoring. Similarly, if labs were implemented, I’d love to have the ability to assign a slave to work there – obviously resulting in dismissive/abusive reactions towards her by the researchers, who wouldn’t like working with a whore. Implementing an intelligence stat would be a nice added touch as well, and not just for humiliation, since it could easily be relevant to a variety of activities.

I know one time I was trying to fix a quirk of hates penetration, and was sort of disappointed that it fixed her arrogant instead. It would also make sense if after a while a Head Girl or Bodyguard would get the arrogant quirk, or something like that... similar to how girls used too hard get the hate penetration/anal/etc. quirks.

  51. Ideas/complaints:
    1) Slaves get naked way too often. In fact, all my obedient slaves choose to be naked. Maybe reducing the weight of that choice would be more interesting.
    2) Cow-slaves quickly become bulls if you put them on automatic weight control. This is great for "realism", but it's quite a pain in the ass to micromanage my cows to give them a normal weight without them having muscles bigger than their chest. Would it be possible to separate musculature from weight ? I don't want an army of Schwarzenegger in my dairy.
    3) Option to remove all tatoos/piercings at once ?
    4) Is slave nationality distribution based on arcology location in the present version ? If not, that could be an idea as it seems logical that you would find more british/spanish/italian/etc slaves in europe rather than in africa. If it is, then maybe the weighting should be a bit heavier.
    5) More incest ?

    All I can think of for now, though I agree with most suggestions made previously.

  52. Minor inconsistency bug again. Got the experimental herm slave from the mercenary raid on the lab. The body mod studio called it a clit piercing, her long bio describes her as possessing a clit piercing, but further down the page "Her smart Frenulum piercing is set to: all."

    Double checked, this seems to be the case for other hermaphrodite slaves as well. I'd wager it's simply a case of the "Smart X piercing set to" giving a higher priority to the penis, and the body mod studio and long bio description having priority for the clit.

    1. I'm also not sure I understood my rival arcology owner's description right. The initial pronoun, before slavery, was She. She was described as androgynous. After enslavement she's an XY shemale slave, with F cup implants. As an F cup is anything but androgynous, I'm assuming they were applied post enslavement by default... or she was Really good at hiding how big her boobs were.

      She also, despite being a former, slave owning arcology owner, comes with the Hates Women sex quirk. Forgive me if I find that unlikely for someone in the business.

      Also, as I believe I saw listed before, the Defeated Surrender of the rival event repeats the next week if you enslave her. Meaning you can buy as many Arcology owners as you wish, until you decide to accept her surrender, as that choice does not lead to repeating the event. I took 3 of these slaves for testing purposes.

      As all 3 were Odd, Hated sex with Women, had Huge cock-n'-balls, tits, ass, and some Muscles, I assume it's hard coded stats for the rival. However, 1 of those slaves lost cock size from hormonal effects, despite being on no hormones and sharing identical rules and settings as the other 2 former arcology owners. I'm at a loss as to why, it was the second of the three slaves. If it was a time thing, it should have been the original that experienced this issue. No slaves share the same name, so they shouldn't be pulling effects from other slave's settings.

    2. Unfortunate implication: The 'Mother begs you to Recruit her Daughter' event happened, and the mother was a 15 year slave/ longest slave alive prestigious slave. Her Daughter, apparently, has also been a sex slave prostitute for the past 15 years. She's 18. This implies 3 year old sex slaves, which even in the Free Cities is illegal. It's a super minor concern, as most things that I manage to find tend to be.

  54. A few more thoughts. I think it would make sense for slaves to get unhappy when you sell their friends/fwb/lovers/wives (with increasing unhappiness). I think that it would make sense to have this sort of negative reaction, and would be an argument against allowing personal relations/marriages. It could also create one of the few chances for a devoted/worshipful slave to start to dislike you.

    I also wonder if there is a way to make the nicer clothes to cost more. I am not sure how it would work, since it would be annoying to have to keep on buying the clothes each time you change outfits, but having to pay more money for nice lingerie, bangles, and especially the golden collar would make sense, and would have you balance the cost for the increase of devotion from the slaves. But again, not sure if it is feasible/possible.
