As I've mentioned several times over the course of 0.7+, I intend to use major version numbers like 0.8 to designate breaks in save eligibility for New Game Plus. This update makes some changes to slave stats that would have required some significant coding to import, so previous saves are not eligible for New Game Plus, and this update gets a major version number. The version number does not imply that this update is larger or smaller than usual in terms of the work that has gone into it.
What this update does do is give slaves' faces some long-overdue attention. Faces can now be extremely ugly and extremely beautiful. I felt that perfect facial attractiveness was too easily attainable and too common: this change addresses that by providing another level of beauty that few slaves will present naturally. This is an intentional buff to pro-surgery arcologies: a stable of perfect faces is now difficult to maintain without surgical intervention.
In addition to a broadened attractiveness stat, faces now have one of six shapes (cute, sensual, exotic, androgynous, masculine, and normal). Though I expect there will be mixed feelings on this, face shapes do present another challenge to complete feminization. They also provide further distinctiveness between slave schools. The Futanari Sisters come off best out of this; their practices make them a unique source of slaves with both highly feminine face shapes and large dicks.
This update also expands the stats that govern slaves' intelligence, height, and teeth. As with previous mechanical updates, the content for slaves at the extremes of the new possibilities is thin. I intend to spend some time over the next updates giving geniuses, imbeciles, and slaves with braces (among others) the attention they deserve.

Nice update. But could someone explain to me how to get a slave as your wife? Because in all my playthroughs I only achieved it once. Not knowing how the hell I did it.

You need to pass the slave marriage policy and have a slave emotionally bonded to you in order to marry her. That said, you can marry multiple different slaves if you get multiple slaves emotionally bonded to you.

DeleteAdditionally, perhaps an option not to amputate all of a slave's limbs at once, picking either one at a time or pairs, to emphasize degrees of punishment (if that is the player's path). As it is, amputation renders a slave almost useless, but instead could have varying effects depending how far you went.

A way to see a slaves genetic/pre-surgery stats would be great, but that would almost double the number of variables stored for each slave. Guess I'll have to use my imagination like some sort of commoner.
Oh, and either (or both) of the following would be nice, too:
Variants of the eugenics policies that sterilize male slaves instead of chopping their balls off. Would require you to actually make male sterilization a thing.
Variants of the eugenics policies that remove ovaries from female slaves instead of just sterilizing them.
Are there race-based auto-sterilization policies? If not, that seems like an obvious thing to add.

I would assume that the costs are broken because the attractiveness score seems to be grossly inflated. I was building my usual headgirl in the starting slace creation and where she would normally have an attractiveness of ~40 she had 217 by the end instead.

There are thresholds that change the price. So increasing attractiveness from 81 to 88 might not do anything, but changing it from 90 to 91 will.

The height addition is great! I really like it. An enhanced muscle/fitness system would be very nice:

- a fitness/endurance value beside health. You can by healthy, but not very fit. Or a fitnessfanatic, who risks his health through overstressing(Running 20 miles with the flu). With more fitness you could "serve" more clients on sexual jobs for example.
- harder to achieve musculature. A couple weeks from normal to goddess-like is just too fast/unrealistic. Salves who try do build muscle should have decreased job perfomance, because of the additional burden through traning.
- different bodyparts legs, abs, arms, back etc. This would allow even more diverse slaves. Such as muscular legs and big butt is a brazilian style for example. Or a slender built with hard abs and not scary big muscles for a fit cheerleader typ.
This are just some ideas from my side and sorry for my english. I'm not a native speaker. By the way this is a great game. =D

If the slave age is 40 she always costs 3000 $ no matter how skilled/beautiful she is.
This only happens with 40 as the age. Anything higher/lower works.
Everything 40 and higher messes up the cost.
Delete40 means 3000$ (minimum) no matter what. After that the cost goes up with age, instead of down.
Feature Question: Backgrounds provide bonuses to certain management posts. When we select an attendant/manager for a specific job, could the qualified slaves that have advantages in serving in the specified position have their specialty listed, so that it's easier to choose qualified slaves for the position?

The Rules Assistant is bugged for body mods. Setting piercings to None doesn't remove them and will sometimes give back whatever piercings they originally had.

Since the default retirement age at the beginning is 45, when a slave is at age 40, the equation gives a result of zero, which then result in the lowest possible price regardless of how good she is.

Not sure if a bug or just shit luck, but I've been unable to improve an androgynous average face at all with intensive female hormones. I've not ~scienced other face types or other attractiveness levels, but pre-patch you could reliably change any average or below face into a very attractive (2nd highest step) face. Is this a deliberate additional nerf to non-surgical societies, a bug, or do I need to stop playing poker for a few weeks?

Now, if you want to avoid surgery, it is still relatively easy to get to 0 (average), but very difficult to get to 1, and no way to get to anything better than that.. Oh, no way to get to 1 by using hormones. You need long term aphrodisiac use to make her a serious aphrodisiac addict, then maybe "long term effect of hormone-based aphrodisiacs has softened her face....". I am not quite sure if aphrodisiac++ is required, but it's probably a safer bet.
DeleteI dislike the one way slide where if a slave's beauty ever drops down from beautiful it's impossible to recover. I think that doesn't make sense. But as far as the difficulty of turning an originally ugly slave into a beautiful one, I think it's okay.
I suppose this is counterbalanced by the fact that you can rework a slaves face once without losing the "all natural" penalty, so you can use hormones to bring a slave to average (0), then surgery once to attractive (1) without penalty, to beautiful (2) with penalty. And if hormones could make a slave attractive (1) or beautiful (2), then you could boost that with the 'free' surgery to 2 or very beautiful (3), in either case allowing you to make every slave perfectly beautiful with the face shape of your choice either with or without the "all natural" bonus.
DeletePerhaps a better alternative would be to allow hormones to take a face to attractive (1), and to make facial surgery either increase attractiveness, or reshape the face. That way if you want the all natural bonus then you can either make the slave beautiful or have the face shape of your choice, and if you don't want the bonus, you can make the slave very beautiful, or merely beautiful with a new face shape. It just seems counter to the devs intentions to allow face shapes to be reworked with no real consequences.
Problems I found :

I haven't played yet, but I hope you can just hit very tall or short during starting slave customization. I think it should give you random, but plausibly numbers for measurements.

It's not clear from the wiki whether the club advertising options apply to the DJ as well. In fact it's not really clear what exactly happens when advertising doesn't match what's on offer.
I'd recommend changing the Cutting quirk name to something else like Taunting or Witty, or add some clarification. The wiki doesn't make clear what it means and I originally mistook it for self bloodletting, which was confusing.
Since FC Dev seems to be busy with real life and a new update, I've debugged my own copy of FC 0.8.0.2, fixing all the height bugs I can find (thanks CornCobMan) and the urban terrain bug and age 40 resulting in minimum price bug. I can't duplicate the Body Mod Rules Assistant missing line bug, so I left that section as is. As standard for this sort of thing, I make no guarantees. I may have missed a bug, I may have introduced a bug, and I may have misinterpreted FC Dev's intention. But it works on my computer. (And, uh, if FC Dev wants to use this file as a starting point to save time, I'll be flattered.)

A mention of "completely mobile" in the game that should be completely immobile.
You can repeatedly rejuvenate orifices with advanced surgery even when that body part is at maximum tightness short of virginity.
Would be nice to get more surgery options to alter nipple type, clit size, breast shape, and select partially inverted nipples from character creation.
A preference for short slaves could get slotted into either youth or slimness enthusiasm since there isn't a societal offset right now.
I'd love to see a surgical option to reinforce tendons so that extreme heels can be worn without a health loss, as well as a trust neutral or even positive outcome at high devotion where "She is mindful of your trust in her ability to properly conduct herself while in such challenging footwear."
Finally some additional collars would be nice. Here's a few I propose:

Built the fighting pit, assigned slaves to fight, next turn upkeep went to "$cash" and turn after that my money went to 0, stays at 0 every turn. Built pit with no slaves to fight it it, upkeep is normal, until I upgraded commercial floors, then upkeep went to "$cash".

The removal of lip implants bug isn't a bug. It's caused by the code not distinguishing whether the health damage (and devotion and trust change) is caused by the addition of lip implants or the removal of lip implants. Fixing it would require rewriting the code and making it similar to breast implant addition and removal. I'm not comfortable doing that and will leave it to FC Author.

There's a section for the result of the heel snipping, but I don't see any missing parenthesis. Despite what the text may suggest, the code doesn't actually set the slave's footwear to heels.

WHAT I CAN'T FIX
anything about Cash going to 0 or $Cash or other weirdness like that. I get that often if I use Firefox and never if I use Chrome. That's probably a browser compatibility problem.
Sexual servitude defaulting to top of list is because the None option no longer works. I can't figure out why though.
I figured it out!
DeleteFor sexual servitude [[None|Subordinate Targeting][$activeSlave.subTarget to 0]] makes none target slave 0, which is the first slave on the list. If you change it to [$activeSlave.subTarget to null]] then none becomes a generic submit to everyone command.
On second thought, nope. Doing what I said gets the initial message to show up correctly but the weekly summary will still have her submitting to slave 0. I'm not sure if there actually is a separate weekly event outcome for submitting to everyone.

ReplyDeleteI think that's just a generic outcome based on masturbation rules and devotion. I don't think it has anything to do with an active aphrodisiac regiment.
DeleteIf you read closely you will find that the food the slaves get fed acts as a mild aphrodisiac, but nothing that would have any real affect. It's more or less just fluff.

Now that faces are more important, they should be highlighted with an appropriate color in the description. When looking through slaves I have to Ctrl-F for "face" to find it in the wall of white text.

I can't make any more changes to faces if I raise attractiveness to max. Even with the upgraded surgery. I was trying to change the face type after I upgraded the attractiveness. Is this intentional?
ReplyDeleteOkay, I figured out why sexual servitude defaults to the top girl on the list. It's because the first slave created has an ID number of 0. Since None is also assigned a value of 0, selecting None (which is also the initial state) is indistinguishable from selecting the first slave. This seems to be an old bug that never got noticed until now.
ReplyDeleteIf you already started a game, you can get around this by selling/discarding/retiring your first slave, after which the Subordinate Slave assignment will work normally.
For future versions, I recommend changing the initial value of IDNumber from 0 to 1. This means the first slave generated would have an ID of 1, and thus wouldn't conflict with None.
It would be easier to make sure subtarget value is not defaulted to 0 if it already had a value.

- changed completely mobile to completely immobile in the surgery scene
- in the tendon-clipped girl serving another scene, changed the check from just heels to heels, boots, and extreme heels.
Hopefully you changed all relevant things also when changing the startingid so there aren't any additional bugs created with your change.
DeleteJust downloaded it and started a new game. For sexual servitude it's much better but still borked. For most girls None will work properly but one girl will have the assignment skipped completely. You can tell in the summary if events start off with something like "she gets off at work so..." without any mention of serving everyone.
DeleteWell, by changing the starting number I reduced the number of possible slaves by 1. But you'll run into other factors limiting the number of slaves long before you hit the cap.
